Billy Joel Was A No-Show At The Hospital!!!

Even though Billy Joel was the party assuring the media his daughter, Alexa Ray Joel was "never in any danger" after she attempted to take her own life on Saturday afternoon, he never showed up to the hospital!!!!
Not okay. At all.
Alexa was admitted to St. Vincent's in NYC after her roommate discovered Joel had taken eight sleeping pills in a suicide attempt. Alexa's mom, Christie Brinkley, rushed to be by her daughter's side, but we can't say the same for Billy.
A friend of the piano man said he didn't go to the hospital because it would have become a "circus atmosphere" and was in "constant phone contact" with the hospital, as if that redeemed his absence.
Disgusting.

Perez you have some serious nerve to criticize Billy Joel! Do you seriously have selective memory loss?! Do you not remember calling her ugly and harassing her?!
I hope the family has more smarts than us and completely ignores flamer PH and his team's horrible put downs. I don't know who died and left PH to be sole judge and jury but perhaps the time has come for most of us better thinking people to move on to a site with a little more dignity. I think I've learned that PH is a miserable person who isn't comfortable and needs psych treatment but instead makes himself (and his team) feel better by putting others down. He's a poor excuse of a human. Thank goodness he won't be marrying a woman and reproducing.

Should you be posting their personal affairs on this forum? This is a difficult time for the family, I'm sure they'd like to keep this matter private and would apprecaite it if you did the same. You and the others that attacked her on her looks are ridiculous.. first of all she is far from ugly.. she's beatiful.. big eyes, great jawline, clear skin, great hair.. and what difference does it make? people judge others as if they have some control over it.. looks fade.. good character, personality, charisma doesn't.. stop being so shallow and get a life

Perez, when you post something like this, do you put a lot of thought into it? I'm thinking you probably don't. You're thinking Billy Joel is cruel here. Well, let's consider something else — it could be that the parents talked to each other right after the incident. If it truly was a suicide attempt, then it's probably already embarrassing enough for Alexa. And any extra added attention may just make matters much more difficult for her. The point is that we don't know what's going on. And pointing fingers of blame doesn't help anything at all. I do think your site is entertaining enough (you can be kind of funny). But sometimes you can be extremely callous…. cruel and indifferent. Or just plain ignorant.

I think as long as he cares and was in constant communication, there is no need for him to be at the hospital. They obviously released her very quickly, I'm sure by the time he would have gotten to the hospital from wherever he lives she would have almost been released. Back off - he obviously loves his daughter very much and is going to be helping her through this difficult time. What this family needs is privacy, with Joel re-marrying and Brinkley's very very public divorce, they could use a little private time to regroup as a family.

Sounds heartless but Perez you really don't know the inside situation e.g. the fame circus around Billy J. could certainly be upsetting to Alexa .. that's probably the last thing she'd want around her at this time. My child would be more important to me than the media. Whether he showed up or not it was going to be in the news. He should have been there for his daughter and how ironic it's been reported the reason for the attempt is because she feel like she doesn't matter.
I think it's a window into her world with him not showing up. She needs him and he isn't there.

wow, look at all the people dissing perez for telling the truth. alexa did attempt suicide and her father didn't rush to her side. while it is true 8 sleeping pills likely don't kill, the fact is alexa was at rock bottom, her life was desparate enough that she felt the only way out was to end her life. so kudos to her mum for showing up and a big, fat FAIL to her father for not showing up.
FYI, Perasshole, it took Mommy Dearest over three hours to get there. The hospital was probably about to release her by the time Ms. Brinkley showed. It isn't a quick trip from LI into the city.

The suicide thing is still conjecture. He was, no doubt, in contact with the hospital staff and informed regarding her status. Had it been grave, he would have been there. As it is, he avoided Ms. Brinkley.
