Did They Break Up??? Jake Calls Reese His Girlfriend!
Even though People reported last week that A-list couple Jake Gyllenhaal and Reese Witherspoon had split, now we're not so sure!
Because Jakey dropped the G-bomb during a press conference for Brothers in Beverly Hills - girlfriend!
Gyllenhaal was telling the interviewer that he's "learned so much from the kids in [his] life" when Jake stated:
Obviously I exist in my girlfriend's world and my sister's world in a different way, but it's opened my heart and I feel much more grown up and want to be grown up as a result of it.
Huh!
And don't expect a direct comment from Jake anytime soon about the state of their relationship because, according to Gyllenhaal, "news cycles come and go and I don't have to comment on them."

Right about the Aussie press thing. Personally, I think Reese would walk over hot coals to marry Jake. But Jake wants kids. I don't think Reese is interested in having more babies. I think she probably gave him a vague, "not sure" and finally he wanted an answer. The picture where you say she looks pregnant was taken last Summer or Spring.
The other thing you gotta remember. Reese Witherspoon is a "Brand." Just ask her. She's a very sharp, very successful business woman. Jake is doing OK, but he isn't in the same league with Reese. Not even close. She's worth hundreds of millions of dollars. Jake would have to do 20 sequels to his Prince of Persia to come close. Maybe he doesn't want to be another Mr. Reese Witherspoon.
I read where she said he was too overbearing and bossy. Well, tough shit, lady! Maybe she was complaining because she couldn't steamroll over him, like she did to Ryan, who drank himself into oblivion. Jake is a sweetheart and everybody likes him. Even the media! How old is the interview in relation to when it was published. He never knows when his girlfriend(s) have broken up with him. He's kinda clueless that way.
I agree with Lemonbird with a few exceptions. She is worth more than he but not in the "hundreds of millions". Where his money goes is a mystery. He doesn't spend it on lavish houses for sure. Maybe he uses a lot to support his penniless parents. He's getting to the age where staying single is a bit odd if he is heterosexual. I think he is, but the longer he stays unmarried, the less certain I am. His sister is normal, married finally with a kid. He hasn't gotten there yet. I suspect they haven't broken up but I also suspect their affair is not as thriving as it once was. He may have moved out of her house.
If they're still together I hope she marries him soon because if she doesn't she's stupid.
