   I like her music but since I saw her in a few interview I won't listen or buy anything she's selling.She is so condescending and patronize everyone that interviews her.Honestly,she's not a genius, anyone slightly descent looking,dressing like a dominatrix, can get as famous as she is,even without her great voice(studio work do wonders to voices).She act all cool to her fans,trashes fame,make all intervewer walk on eggshell and act excentric.It's a formula nothing more that could be done with anyone,just call a record company with that kinda formula and a few good song you wrote(or use someone else) and you'll be her(yes as I said even without her voice or talent just dont sing live,lipsing!)The difference between you and her is that she made many phone calls to make it happen and had this whole sex,anti-fame, I love my fans fuck the rest of the world formula.(if your slightly good looking and can deal with sporting wigs and 5 pounds of make-up,god she's not that pretty but then again she uses the whole blonde thing which she knowns work so well with society,YOU CAN DO IT).I would HATE to be famous therefore I won't put myself in that possition.You can be contend with being an artist without having millions of people having to witness it.At least your in it for the attention or the money which destroy your art by selling out.Fame or money isn't a reward you need as a real artist.

   Except it wasn't her style to begin with…as far as not ripping off other singers, Cyndi Lauper, the Slits, Debbie Harry, Wendy O. Williams and early Bananarama comes to mind. Not only that, she has a history of taking other people's songs, adding or changing a lyric or two just so that she can get songwriting credit. Groundbreaking? Never has been..everything she's done has been done before. Original? Uh..dance music didn't originate in '82.

If the world shared your logic, there wouldn't be a lot of icons out there today, because they're not what is considered conventionally beautiful: Barbra Streisand (cross-eyed, big nose), Diana Ross (bug-eyed, too skinny), Janis Joplin (just ugly), Carly Simon (big mouth and all teeth), Bette Midler (need I say more), Marilyn Monroe (little bit on the plus size), Judy Garland (big eyes and twisted mouth), Cher (gnarly teeth), Celine Dion (skinny and awkward looking), Aretha Franklin (fat), Madonna (gap toothed, bushy eyebrows, pasty white skin, nasty arms and hands). I'll take the flawed ones over the talentless real beauties any day.

   Agree completely. I love how people say she needs to get a nose job or how ugly she is. It just proves how shallow and vain people really are. Raw talent over looks any day.
