Even though Michael Bloomberg has been elected for a third term as mayor of NYC, there was a pretty famous front runner in the write-in candidate section of the ballot!
Springfield's most-loathed billionaire, Mr. Burns!
Mr. Burns managed to nab 27 out of the 299 write-in votes thanks to a underground lowbrow campaign called Burns for Mayor!
The grassroots group wheat-papered the city in posters declaring, "No Third Terms, Vote For Burns" which caught the eyes of 27 of New York's voters.
And don't get us wrong, Burns had some stiff competition in the write-in candidate selection: Alfred E. Newman, Victor Von Doom, Mickey Mouse; he even beat Sleeping Beauty!
