Mother Of 18 Rushed To The Hospital
Sad news for the Duggar family.
TLC reality star, Michelle Duggar, who's given birth to eighteen kids, was airlifted to a hospital this weekend!
Michelle was taken to an Arkansas hospital where it was discovered she was suffering from some gallbladder problems.
Thankfully it wasn't anything life threatening, as the 43-ayear-old is currently pregnant with her 19th baby due this Spring.
A rep for TLC has issued the following statement:
"This weekend, Michelle Duggar was admitted to an Arkansas hospital due to gallbladder issues. The pain from a gallstone was generating some contractions.
Just to be safe, she was airlifted a Little Rock, Ark., hospital, so that in the unlikely event that she had to be delivered early, she would be close to a NICU center. Though there were some fears that the baby was in trouble initially, it soon was discovered to be solely the gallstone causing the discomfort. Michelle is resting comfortably, and the baby is doing fine."
But unfortunately for Michelle, she'll have to stay at the hospital for a while longer.
Adds the rep:
"Doctors want to observe Michelle in the hospital for the next couple of days, but it would appear that the pain medication they have given her for the gallstone has worked, and there is no need for immediate surgery. The hope is that any necessary surgery can be delayed until after she delivers."

Ugh. Poor thing. Apparently gallstone problems during pregnancy and right after birth are common…but painful!
She needs to STOP having kids. That's not healthy. It takes a woman's body up to 5 years to fully recover after having ONE kid! She's pregnant every fucking year!
I wish her good health for the sake of her children, but I think she's a lunatic.
If they mentioned N.I.C.U. she must be at or around 7th, or 8th month or pregnancy.

I feel very torn about this women and her family. On the one hand, I don't think anyone should willingly bring that many children in this world with all the problems that we have. Especially since a lot of the time, it the taxpayers who end up taking care of the kids. HOWEVER, this family is truly unique in that they do and can handle their situation. Nothing like Octomom in other words (who shoudl surely be shot for her stupidity). And while gall stones are painful and an annoyance, they are not life threatening. I'm sure she'll be fine and all. Still think they need to quit producing children like a factory though.

Kids are wonderful, but 18, well going on 19!? Shes 43. The risk for birth defect increases after you turn about, 35. Its not healthy for her. She gets pregnant like every year… the body does heal like that. Its takes a long time. She needs to take care of the ones shes has, before she brings another baby and makes her older daughters do all the work.
I've watched this show a couple times, and what gets me is all the crap they eat — they've got a frigging soda fountain in their dining room and their own deli counter. No wonder the woman's got gallstones a/k/a the curse of Fat and Forty.

You know we constantly get this global warming stuff shoved down our throats, but nobody EVER talks about overpopulation which is the root cause of ALL problems in this world! Almost 7 billion people are in this world now. Only 30 years ago it was 4 billion. They said in another 10 years it`s going to be TEN billion! So that means in only 40 years the population will have more than doubled! That is insane! You know how high real estate is going to be then? Imagine aving to pay $10,000 a month for a one bedroom apartment on only $60k salary or Food prices, $20 for a gallon of milk. This crazy woman should be thankful she is still alive after spawning all of those children. Having this many children wears down the body and her husband is going to wish he would have wrapped it up after his wife dies during delivery one day…
if you've watched the show, the older teens, especially the girls, do a TON of the parenting. it's almost to the point of child abuse. you should not be allowed to produce as many offspring as you want. the earth is already overcrowed. i understand adopting exhisting children starving without a home, but to so selfishly genetically reproduce is beyond me. their moto is "children are a gift from god" . . . so why not try adopting some children already alive and homeless.
If you add up all of her pregnancies, she has been pregnant for over 14 years!

it is not for anyone to judge. is it less right to raise 19 honoest, genuine, good hearted children or for soemone to raise 1 serial killer, torturer, or vagarant? I hope the government doesn't have to pay for her helicopter ride since the family has such crappy health insurance.
