Will Obama Legalize Prostitution & Pot???
During a town hall meeting a college student asked President Barack Obama the oh so important question about whether or not he has considered legalizing pot and prostitution to stimulate the economy.
Watch the clip (above) to see Obama's response.
Thoughts???

He is such a joke. How about giving money back to the consumers instead of spending billions on earmarks.
Legalize pot!! Its the civilized thing to do and would stimulate our ecomony.
Drug's like POT yes, he might as well, I know many many people who smoke it. But other drug's just NOOOOOO. Postitution ? UHHH, NOOOOO … lol.
aw that boy looked so sad having people laugh at him. maybe if people didnt just accept the fact our government has "control" over us we could come together to make these things legal. I dont know how I feel about "non-violent crime" but everything else seems reasonable in order to stimulate our economy. we need to stop playing it safe!
Lol at the stoner who asked the question. I think they should make pot legal , i don't know about prostitution but I'm sure that would make man whore tiger woods happy.
Of course legalize pot and prostitution !! But then, there'd be a lot of unemployed cops and lawyers around
holy shit perez… talk about late you fat fuck… how do you even make money when the mainstream media releases all the details u do sooner?
LMAO at his response
LMAO at his response
Prostitution should be legal! It would make the whole thing so much less dangerous to society, and much more voluntary than it is now.
so the vocal minority wants the ganja legalized? i'm glad he shot down the question so quickly shows that he actually knows the real problems in the U.S. you know like the economy, healthcare, a weakening dollar, dwindling global supremacy, you know important shit that actually matters. seriously pot smokers you are all fucking dumbshits, yes i am generalizing, no i don't care.
I ashamed to admit I actually go to that school. Way to represent us!!… douche. I can't believe he asked the president of the usa such a dumb question. And to think, someone that actually wanted to ask about real issues like employment and money for education couldn't even get in to see obama… what a joke.
stoners cant get their shit together enough to order a pizza, let alone commit as crime…as for prostitution, why is it illegal to sell something that we give away for free?
Oh good question! Legalize Obama lol
I do not understand why people laughed at me eh something that has to take seriously.
Re: Puckbuddy – You would be horrible at running this country. Let Obama do his job.
The kid looks super embarrassed, was he being serious? That made me feel kind of bad for him…
Anyone have any idea how much $$ the government would make off the legalization of pot? We could earn back the national debt and then some…
The only downside would be the regulations of the drug and price increase. Plus, all the little home town dealers would be forced to go out of business.
Studies do show that in places like Amsterdamn where the drug isn't "legal" just regulated, Heroin and Meth use have dropped drastically.
Not like anyone on here really cares tho…
my friend, neffy, is in that video!
he will sign them into law thursday. along with gay marriage. along with pedophile and everything that breaks all 10 commandments. tiger woods will also be receiving a purple heart that day for getting wounded in action. get ready for thursday mario. 3 days away
if i were the president of that young mans college….i would put a price on his head. seriously dude?
OOOLLLDDD NNNEEEWWWSSSS! WOW, you need to get back…
This is such a stupid post. These matters are up to the states, not the federal government. Our govt has way too much other stuff going on — these types of issues are way off the radar screen.
I am personally against prostitution, non violent crimes and pot however….. I am studying sociology in university and I believe that the question the kid was getting at was the fact that these types of transactions go on all the time. They will happen no matter if they're legal or not and the profits for those involved are huge. By taxing them it would create another venue to stimulate the economy. For example, smoking cigarettes. It's legal even though it is damaging to everyone’s health and it relies on those addicted to the product to consume. It also has to hook new consumers in because its previous consumers will die off. It however is taxable and is a huge contributor to the economy. I don't agree with the kid’s statement but he was taking a sociological perspective. Beside, corporations are one of the most manipulative and a criminal aspect of society but it’s legal because it benefits those who are in high class positions. Basically corporations are crime that’s legal. So what the kid is saying… we might as well take some benefit on these crimes that will happen anyways. I don't agree, but it's interesting to hear his perspective.
Re: hateliars –
let me get this straight…smoking pot and gays getting married are equal to pedophiles? the fact that your standard for morality is the ten commandments shows that you are religious minded, not fact minded…
just keep in mind that it's never bad to love…it's always bad to hate…
Re: hair-on-me – Actually, the latest polls are in favor of a majority to legalize pot. It'd be a huge boon to states and federal taxes. It could save lives by people being able to get it easily for three reasons - no drug deals gone bad over stupid pot, no chance of death over something laced and no one stuffed into jail for tiny amounts to get shanked. It would free up prisons by THOUSANDS leaving room for dangerous criminals in there, actually reducing overall crime. It's less dangerous and harmful than alcohol as well. But then again - I look at facts rather than sensationalism. Let's take your own "problems" quote: economy - legal farms create thousands of jobs, also creating stores with more income to hire more people….. healthcare - people are able to use a cheaper source for pain management rather than thousand dollar scrips, reducing costs to federal programs AND the public…. a weakening dollar - goes up based on an entire new sector with jobs, healthcare, and new sectors in farming…. dwindling global supremacy - increases when we use less in pharmaceuticals, less in healthcare, lower prison rates, tighter sentencing, also leading to reducing court costs… and freeing up billions in taxes to be used on state and federal improvement without raising a single tax.
this is kind of old news….why are you just now posting this?
hhaahahahahaha
dont u love a president with a sense of humor?
um, pot is the first step- after that, probably cocaine next, or maybe some prescription drugs, and then after that maybe. . . acid?? followed by heroin and then meth.
fantastic- what a GREAT country that would be. (sarcasm)
Who cares? Russell wants to marry Katy? so whatever! it';all good
Once again. SERIOUSLY OLD NEWS.
Re: baloneytitties –
You are wrong. Legalizing pot would NOT be the first step toward legalizing cocaine.
What a stupid question, to ask the President of the United States. No, we should not legalize pot and prostitution.
Please do not legalize this as it would put my smugling operations out of busines. Cant we start to rebuild busines before we start to tear down more?
White Guy has spoken!
How about decriminalizing pot? You can grow it next to the basil in your backyard and make delicious caprese salads and spacecakes.
well why not. kids get it illegally from someone anyway. prostitution lets say no
why are they laughing at him? he has a pretty good point. yes legalize pot; not harder drugs. Prostitution spreads aids; so no on that one.
Re: SkinnyTie13 –
I never said I wanted to run the country. I said that in order to stimulate the economy, money should be not be spent on preserving the marsh mouse habitat. Obama is doing a terrible job running this country.
This young gentleman asked this question to the president in my home town - Atown
Leave it to a college kid to ask this question, right on.
And why the hell not huh? I dont smoke pot but i for one dont think its that bad, i have enough people in my life who do smoke pot (actually, i'm the odd one out) and there isn't anything really bad or life threatening like that. As for prostitution, why the hell not again? Its the oldest profession in the world really and was only made bad by a few prudes who got their way. So i'm all for legalizing both of them!
l try harder; not l tri c. it pisses me off so much that he went to a shit hole community college when there is an ivy league school not fifteen minutes away.
I'm for legalizing, regulating, and taxing both of them! Some may say "prostitution spreads aids". First of all, sex with anyone who has aids can spread aids, whether its with a prostitute or a college kid whose a little too promiscuous. Second of all, that's why it should be regulated. I mean I don't have all the answers but make STD and AID testing mandatory on a month to month or whatever basis, IDK. I do know that taxing it would create lots of money for our economy and make it less dangerous and drop crime related to prostitution. Same with the pot thing, less drug deals gone wrong, less harmful (like someone said being laced iwth something), and a hell of a lot more money. People still and will always do both of these. Our economy is in such a shitter, why not?
I think prostitution is wrong but is sometimes exaggerated. People shouldn't prostitute there body, because I know if I did something like that I wouldn't have much self respect anymore. But if someone wants to sell sex I guess they should be able to. It's not like there being forced into doing the act. And I'm not going to go on and on about legalizing marijuana, I think it should be legalized plain and simple. It hurts nobody. Sure it "damages" your lungs and body but so does cigarettes and they're legal.
Re: baloneytitties –
1.) Titties, that really isn't the case at all. It's really small-minded to generalize in that way on a topic like drugs. You must of gotten your facts from John Walters himself. Anyways, firstly, being that our last three presidents have indulged in a substance of which you can't over dose from unless you want to smoke a thousand joints in 20 minutes- have at it…by your logic they have the potential to be hard drug users. It ALWAYS depends on the type of personality a person has and many other extraneous variables like what environment they are growing up in and especially who they get it from. Since it is in the black market, some ignoramuses like to go downtown to shady places with even shadier people and since marijuana has the largest demand of any intoxicant (illegal or legal) some like to sell maybe something else on the side- since hey we humans aren't the most ethical of creatures. And if the guy on the corner likes to drug his customer base he'll slip in maybe something else maybe to get him hooked on a little something else prohibition (not necessarily and though not especially pot mind you) creates shady people for various personal reasons.
Dumb question? I don't see how this is dumb at all.
How about you light up a nice doobie and open your mind?
Maybe you'll see things more clearly. It wasn't a dumb suggestion, it's a potential solution to an undying problem.
Re: baloneytitties –
2.) And when I say "shady people," I'm referring to why there for at least half the reason- is drug turf. Unfortunately, people can't use advertising and lawyers in a free enterprise system which is why drugs are heavily inflated at a high unfortunate prices. As it varies across the nations depending where it goes and how it gets there. And maybe you know some people that actually have done what you described (good for you)- but that's just it…..it is only YOU. I recommend first- stop saying that bs reefer madness rhetoric you got from mister old uncle sam, google people like harvard economists jeffery miron and dr. lister greenspoon, harvard medical practioner) and maybe hell, look at L.E.A.P (law enforcement against prohibition) and you'll see opinions from people who were or still are on the other side of the fence. I believe in continual learning- maybe you should do the same.
Re: baloneytitties –
3.) P.S. This obviously puts your comment in the corner so I'm making this to any fucking nay sayers.
P.S.S. I believe it was a letter to benjamin franklin in the early 1800's (might have to check but I know the quote like the back of my hand) from Thomas Jefferson- a brilliant man who started this young- but extremely powerful country and believe in farming hemp, but he also like to smoke the thc containing species- mary jane. He wrote…
"One of my fondest memories, can be found with me sitting on my back veranda, smoking hemp (they obviously had shit back then so it was ditch weed) and looking out as far as the eye can see."
As far as prostitution goes- in a lot of ways the illegalities of pot and prostitution are the same, however, I really don't agree with that because even it were regulated you know people would lie- things would happen to POTENTIALLY spread disease still. And I'm not for legalizing everything because we as a productive society don't need crap like meth and heroin to be readily available.
Re: baloneytitties –
And if that last line was referring to the entire post as sarcastic then my bad haha, but still for all those nay sayers- listen up.
Re: jeanmarie –
Yea, two completely different arenas.
Pot should be legalized, some gambling “““ NO prostitution!!
legalize marijuana plz plz plz plz plz plz.
Yeah, let's legalize drugs and prostitution! Because willpower-less liberals gourging on fatty fast foods, prescription medications and alcohol haven't done enough damage to this country!!
yes, legalize drugs, and prostitution. While we're at it let's legalize pedophiles, rapists, robbing, and identity theives etc. Why? b/c we can make money off of them. Everytime they rape someone we can make money, everytime they rob a store we'll make money off them. Everytime they steal a credit card we can make money off of them because apparently it cost more money to protect people than to let them go loose.
of course it cost money to put people in jail, but do you really want them running around on the streets lose?!
Re: hateliars –
Your slippery slope is littered with the corpses of theocracies. Careful not to bump your head on them. You might end up with some logic knocked into you otherwise.
Re: jeeperscreepers –
Alright, without falling back on religious bullshit, who are the victims with regulated prostitution and marijuana use? HMM?
LOOOL I think he meant this as a joke
We should legalize prostitution and marijuana….they are both victimless crimes that punish otherwise law abiding citizens.
Finally!
Re: salient – fatty fast foods, prescription medications and alcohol , but these are what reps love so much
Re: salient –
In the same way that conservatives are murdering thousands of people every year through a lack of gun control laws, right?
FYI: 9 of the 10 fattest states voted conservative last year.
Focus on harm reduction, and the police can focus on violent crimes. Read more about Harm reduction in Wikipedia. Drugs, gambling and prostitution will always be there, so now let go of your high horse, and deal with it!
dear Perez, fuck your website is fucken slow! fix that shit brother! As for legalizing pot and prostitution, i am all for it. I am from Australia and that shit is legal anyway, so lets make it a worldwide standard, boom! ya dig?!
Re: jeeperscreepers – You are comparing smoking weed with rape? You are a complete moron.
LMAO-at AOL I just answered a poll for favorite female celebrity and Taylor S. got first with 34%, Jennifer Aniston 24%, Beyonce 13%, Lady GaGag 11%. Jennifer A beat Lady Gagme lmao!
LMAO good clip though. That kid looks like Harry Pooter.
Legalizing pot would not only boost the economy, it would help police deal with real criminals. By the way, anyone that says potheads can't get their shit together, I will compare paychecks with any of you.
you know, Holland legalized pot and everything is not chaos, in fact, they seem to have everything going way better then what we have going on over here.
that would be our end.
Re: Hum0rMe – if u legalize a drug why wouldn't u legalize prostitution? all u are dumbasses who want to smoke their weed. stupid motherfuckers.
i think legalizing pot is ok…alcohol is worse than pot in alot of ways and i don't smoke pot. prostitution….no….morally speaking, this country would be in alot of trouble if this happened. no more family instituitons…to easy to get it. a woman's body is sacred…what ever happened to that? or even for a man to be a prostitute.
Re: Megan Fox Before Nose and Lip Surgery – Yeah, because pot and prostitutes are so similar. Dumbass.
Both should be legalized.
After California legalizes it and ther rest of the country sees the financial benefit, other states will come. To all you nay sayers, the country will not collapse, so relax you closed minded idiots.
Holland (where some prostitution is legal) still have huge problems with violence against prostitutes and human trafficking. I'm a liberal but sometimes liberals really annoy me.
prostitution is already legal in the US ! look at the POP tarts you twats adore, they dress and dance like prostitutes, negronce, hagdonna, lady caca, shitney spears, haha montana, shitkira, all of these whores dance in their undearwear on stage, or wearing very very little clothes, and hagdonna does nothing but keep her granny legs spread so the whole world can take a look at her old crotch…
Of course legalize pot and prostitution — prostitution is a victim less crime, i people want to pay for sex just let them. who cares.
No to both.
Legalizing prostitution would be SO stupid!!! But legalizing pot….hmm…thats another story.
Besides, think of how much money we'd make to stabilize our economy!
This is a great question - a natural crop which could help our economy recover and downsize a lot of crime - friends in the police force have said they would rather break up a party of potheads than drunks - legalize, tax the crap out of it. Rather be considered a stoner than a drunk!
Re: Puckbuddy – He is doing a much better job than the last brain-dead idiot we had. He has been in office for less than a year, people like you jump the gun and can't wait around to see things come to fruition, that is not how this kind of thing works. You're ignorant, it's alright.
Re: marebear54321 – It's not a victimless crime.
Re: Bungle22 – no i'm fucking not. The reason i'm not for legalizing pot is b/c if they do legalize it it will be a less potent form, and the drug dealers will try to lace it with something more powerful to get people addicted; hence more crime and drug dealers. It's a never ending circle.
Legalize it Don't Criticize it
prostition bought my house ,yaaah for as for the pot I could give 2 shits
That's funny dude! I was actually thinking the same thing last week… Legalize Pot and watch the Economy go through the Roof since Obama's current policies are obviously not working and the Green Energy Economic Boost won't realistically have any effect for at least 5-10 years… Come on People even Paris Hilton has enough common sense to understand the fundamentals of Economics!!!!
Re: jeeperscreepers – you really have no clue what you are talking about. The pot today is more potent by the way it is grown. In California, they grow the weed to be very potent with THC. If legalized, the drug dealers would have to move on, or actually get a real job, because nobody would buy weed from a dealer. They can get their choice of weed at the local pub. your reasoning for not legalizing is because drug dealers would lace it? Dealers would not pay so they can lace the weed later and resell it for more. Nobody would buy it. They can get very potent weed at the store.
You also dont make sense, because wouldnt you be concerned now, because by your logic, dealers lace everything? So what's the difference?Legalized, or not legalized.
By the way, how many people you know make alcohol in their bathtub anymore? You know, after that was legalized. lol….the ignorance doesn't end. Nobody ever went into a bad area to get moonshine because it was stronger than the whiskey you can get at the store.
Its uneducated people like yourself that keep drug dealers in business, screaming how bad pot is when you have no clue. Good Job moron.
Re: hair-on-me –
Your stereotype is rediculous. I probably go to a better University than you can ever get into, I probably work harder than you have ever worked in your life, and I will probably get a better job than you will ever be qualified for. I smoke weed every single day, multiple times, and I don't see a problem with that. So suck my metaphorical dick asshole.
Awsome but does this mean we are gonna get taxed on our pie/
Awsome but does this mean we are gonna get taxed on our pie?
Re: holyshityourfatperez – HOLY SHIT @$$HOLE! IF YOU HAVE A DISLIKE FOR PEREZ, MAYBE YOU'RE ON THE WRONG SITE THERE BUDDY. GO FIND SOMETHING ELSE TO DO. OR SAVE YOURSELF FROM HUMILITY AND JUST SEEK COUNSELING. YOU OBVIOUSLY HAVE VERY LOW SELF-ESTEEM TO BE RUNNING YOUR MOUTH HERE ABOUT PETTY THINGS. YOU'RE A JOKE! IF IT'S HIS MONEY YOU'RE WORRIED ABOUT, KEEP ON HATING. YOU'RE ONLY FEEDING HIS BANKROLL. PEREZ BABY, YOU ROCK!!!
he should legalize pot
