Really, A Blink-182 Biopic???

| Filed under: Film FlickersTravis Barker

We think we could do without this little trip down memory lane and apparently, the boys of the band agree!

Brandon Flores, a 24-year-old filmmaker from San Diego, wants to make a flick documenting the early years of his favorite band, Blink-182. The ambitious guy already has a script all penned and an idea for style in mind (think Lords of Dogtown). Now, the only thing left is to get the thumbs up from Blink's management and the boys.

Therein lies the problem!

To date, Brandon and his buddies cannot seem to get in contact with the band. He explained in an interview:

"We've been trying to get in touch with their management, or even the guys in Blink, because we'd like to use their songs in the movie. Or maybe we could even get the guys to do a cameo in the film."

But even without their presence or blessing, Brandon intends to forge forward with the film.

Oh boy. Do we smell a lawsuit coming on? We think we just might!

it's not a remake or a sequel to a remake to launch the careers of the next pathetic round of "famous people" to use as walking billboards. I doubt it'll be a big studio thing if it gets made. Doesn't sound like I really care either.

The source article kind of points out what bullshit this is. The guy has like $55.000 (and this is no Paranormal) and wants to start shooting in April. The fan community got word and is all up in arms and then there are the legal concerns. Kind of a non-story here.

blink actually has 7 records and they have been around since 1992.

You can make the movie but you can't use the music without their permission. Not much of a movie without their music though.

    I love Blink!

or this would be the biggest waste of time

Blink has been around since 1992 thank you obama. they've had 5 albums. there is a story to be written. and why not? the person seeking to make the video wasn't looking for any attention but ever since mtv has interviewed him its blown up and people are getting angry at this kid for no reason - its pretty much a side project. And Tabularasa such an ignorant thought comment - I like blink. Many people do, hence why they returned to make some more 'crappy punk rock'. They couldn't suck as much dick as the guy in your avatar.

TRAVIS IS A TOOL, AND IF THE OTHER GUYS FOLLOW HIS LEAD, THEY ARE DOUBLE TOOLS. EVERYONE KNOWS TRAVIS IS A METH HEAD WITH A BAD TEMPER AND HAS DELUSIONS OF THINGS THAT ARE NOT EVEN HAPPENING. HE MAKES SHIT UP AND BELIEVES IT. SO THE MOVIE WOULD PROBABLY BE BETTER IF HE WASN'T INVOLVED ANYWAY. HE IS JUST A PUNK ASS POSER!

I grew up listening to Blink. I went to school with Tom's little sister (not that anyone freaking cares on this site), and I think it would be cool for this guy to make a film. He's a fan, and there have been worse movies made as biopics. Although I don't know who he's going to get to play the guys.
