There are COUNTLESS cases of male actors/singers/etc. being abusive to women but they never make anything more than a quick news blip because the woman they did it to isn't famous. If Chris Brown had been dating some regular chick off the street, people would have been making statements calling for "empathy and understanding him during this difficult time." The ONLY reason he's getting it so hard from the entertainment industry is because it was Rihanna. They wouldn't have frozen him out of shows or turned on him if it had just been some music video girl.
