“It was wack. I’ll keep it a hundred. The BET Awards was horrible. I was watching it, holding my face like, ‘Oh my God this is wack’. I didn’t get it. Michael Jackson was such a big entertainer. And I’m not dissing any of the artists who did the songs. But I was expecting a lot more energy for Michael. And BET Awards usually comes hard. I was expecting them to have Usher, Omarion and even Justin. And I was expecting Ne-Yo to dance. They were so bent on not getting me there that they messed up their own show.”On being scrutinized by Oprah:
“I didn’t get a call from them or anything. I felt embarrassed, but at the same time I felt stabbed in the back. Ok, Oprah you have so much power and people really listen to what you say. You don’t know anything that went down and you jump to conclusions and start brining people on the set that have no similarities to me other than a domestic dispute. And then compare them to me when she’s around me and knows me. She could have called me and been like, “Chris, let me get you on my show and I’m going to do this kind of segment.”

You do not agree with his punishment, what would be your punishment for Rhianna hitting her kid brother on the head with a bottle, injuring him so severely that the had to be rushed to the hospital for several stiches? Some commentators here sound so aggressive and abusive, they migt have killed Rhianna if they had been in CB's place that night.
you know some of what he said made some sense…for once. i'm not on his side at all. what he did WAS wrong but he is right. oprah has this way of her not fully expressing both sides of a story only one side and expects us to agree. BET awards, i didn't think about it until i read his views and he was right. no one danced and celebrated MJ just sorrow (which was expected) but BET should have planned the show a bit better than that.
There have been SO MANY celebrities who abuse their parnters but nobody cares because they aren't celebrities. Chris Brown is getting it so much worse because it was another celebrity. They should get the same scrutiny that Chris gets, too. It's like nobody cares unless they are celebrities..
From the very first time I saw him I always felt that he was a derivative performer who lacked any originality. Is there anyone out there that can make him go away for good?

Whatever, I still call BS. Why is it a man can never lose control? Women lose control all the time (slaps and throws things)! But let a man lose control and all hell breaks loss. Do I think Chris went to far yeah, but does anyone know specifically what went down in the car? No. He had scratches and bite marks two. People are just jumping on the Rihanna bandwagon because he is a guy and he hit a woman, no one cares what she did. And I am sure I will get flamed for my opinion. But my opinion comes from life experience. I was once with a girl that literally jumped on me, punching me over a text message. I fell back against a wall, so she got a bruise on her back. She then hit me with a 10lb weight and cracked a rib, I grabbed her arm and she got a bruise. Keep in mind I am still not "fighting back" and she is scratching and kicking and punching,but I am just trying to get away. So i am almost at the door and she comes running at me with a big knife from the kitchen. She swipes at me (of course I am yelling what is wrong with you… blah blah) and she keeps swiping and stabbing at me. She scraps my sleeve cuts it but not the skin (very lucky) and I punched her.
Oh but that isn't the end of it. I get out of the house and leave and go to a hotel for the night. I wake up sore all over, but no bruises so I go to walmart and buy a shirt and go to work. While I am at work the police come to my job! I get arrested for assault and taken out. So I am taken downtown and booked for assault and by this time she has spread the news like wildfire (small town). They show me pictures of the bruises she has and the bruise on her face. She has told them a totally different story of what happened. She told them I attacked her. I tried to tell them what happened but nobody ever believes the man, they told me all my wounds were from her defending herself. Long story short I had to get a lawyer and my saving grace was the fact that she threw the weight and cracked my rib (which I found out from the doctor exam my lawyer made me get), because she left that out in her statement then denied it all together. Once my lawyer got there her story started to unravel and she lost. But because everyone in town still believed I intentionally abused her, I got death threats, lost my job, and I just had to move. I will never fully trust any abuse story again because of this. Flame away on me, but until you have had this craziness happen to you F**** off.
I see both sides of it. In my opinion there is NO excuse to hit a woman EVER! but its true that hes getting more shit than he deserves. I think Rihannah twisted the story extremely. I always liked CB more than her before this happened… and although I thought the BET MJ tribute was great, its true that he would have been the perfect person to perform.
I am getting tired of rihannas "oh woe is me" attitude. If she wants to be a role model for women she'll move on, pick her self up, and be strong and independent about it not acting like people should be sorry for her.

ok, listen. Chris Brown is amazing. he really is an amazing artist and dancer and everything. who cares about rihanna? she is being a baby. or people are making her sound like the biggest baby ever.
