From High School Musical To Broadway Musical!

What about Zacquisha?!

Corbin Bleu
will be the first High School Musical cast member to take on Broadway!

The actor will be appearing as the lead in the Tony award-winning In the Heights beginning early next year. The Main Stem production is hoping that casting Corbin will bring in bigger audiences and we think they'll get it!

HSM has a HUGE, adoring fan base and the show will probably sell very well!

But if we're being honest we'd rather see Zac Efron on the stage, but anyone's better than VaneXXXa Hudgens!

Great show!! I thin k he's going to do well! :)

As much as you hate Vanessa Hudgens, she's doing quite well.

Look up "KLTA Perez" on you tube. You will find a fantastic video showing Mario being handed his balls in a bag… Good stuff!

    11. 11

Awww, I love Corbin! congrats to him! :)

    12. 12

FINALLY! Someone with some clout has called it like it is….THIS made my day I have to say…

Google— "KTLA Perez" — for a good laugh.

      Yaay Corbin!

Uhm, excuse me, but how on earth could you prefer Zac freakin' Efron as Tony? I think Corbin looks a tad bit (note the sarcasm) more hispanic than Zac, and Corbin is like, ten times more of a better dancer than him. It would upset me if Zac Efron was cast as lead in In The Heights. My goodness, he's not all he's cracked up to be.

    14. 14

FIrst of all, if you knew the musical In The Heights then you know Zack Efron would noooooot be good for the show, and second of all, broadway just dies because this guy is now oging to be on it, I hate it when shows cast names not talent. It's sad you can always tell when a show is about to go off broadway when a celebrity comes into the picture.

    15. 15

He still looks good (really good), but I miss his hair.
Congrats to him though, he's my favorite HSM-er. :)

    16. 16

OMG, I love In The Hights!!! He's actually a REALLY good actor…..not sure if he's right for the lead but he's SO much better than Zac!!!

    17. 17

In The Heights?!? That fool ain't even Latino!!! The whole play is about being a Latino in Washington Heights. How will he relate?

    18. 18

      Yeah!!! I love Corbin!!!

    19. 19

OMG THATS GANNA ROCK! I WANTED TO SEE THAT SHOW! BUT NOW I HAVE TO SEE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    20. 20

      He needs a buzz cut.

    21. 21

He's pretty damn good looking, that's for sure.

    22. 22

Re: QueenzGoddess – You do know that latino is not a race. It's like saying a white person can't be African. He'll play a black latino. Latino isn't a race, there's all sorts of different races that live south america/caribbean.

    23. 23

Re: QueenzGoddess – Or better yet it's like saying a black person isn't American because he isn't white. American isn't a race, just like Latino is not a race. Hope you learned something new today.

    24. 24

give the black kid a chance zac efron is doing movies why does the white guy have to get all the shine

    25. 25

Re: dynamic_d_da_truth – So true Corbin is just as cute as Zac, if he was white his career would be off the chart. No I'm not playing the race card I'm just speaking the truth. I would love to see Corbin in one of the Twilight movies, he so deserves to be a heartthrob.

    26. 26

I guess you've never been to Washington Heights before. This guy looks like every Dominican baseball player in America. Zac is a white boy and he would stand out like a sore thumb amongst all those Dominicans. Ha! Zac wouldn't want the role because he knows that. Of course Corbin isn't as dark and his hair isn't as kinky as the average Dominican. Maybe they should get Sammy Sosa, no wait, Sammy bleached his skin white so he would not qualify either.

    27. 27

HOW WILL A WHITE BOY LIKE ZAC RELATE TO DOMINICANS IN THE SLUMS OF WASHINGTON HEIGHTS? ZAC WOULD BE SCARED TOO DEATH!!

They need something to spark attendance as they are number 9 on this weeks Broadway top 10.

    29. 29

my girlfriends grandma who is white and jewish grew up in the heights… so all yall saying that everyone in the heights is black or hispanic or whatever need to know the facts lol

    30. 30

Re: FemTrek Forever – You are right. We are a CULTURE. And he still won't be able to RELATE. But you wouldn't understand that, now would you? ;)

    31. 31

Re: FemTrek Forever – Never did I say we were a race. I think you were reading into my comment just a smidge. What do you think?

    32. 32

Re: GMatthews418 – Oh wow. Have you seen "In the Heights"??? lol. Why don't you take a look at it before commenting ;) It's all about being a LATINO. Futhermore, Washington Heights is predominantly Latino. Personally, I'm a fan of "In the Heights" and I think it would be best suited for someone who understands our culture. Not a good role for him, but I wish him luck.
