In a new interview with Italian Vanity Fair, New Moon hunk Robert Pattinson tries to convince the world that he is single and not involved with co-star Kristin Stewart:
"I am single…almost everything that came out about my private life is false. I think it happens because, really, there is not much to say about what I'm doing.
"While I am filming, I live practically [like a] recluse in [a] hotel. I come out only to work, and sometimes to go out for dinner. But, if you read the magazines, it seems that I have a frantic high life."
And the Twi-hards breathe a sigh of relief!

Plus, there was never an actual picture taken of him a k'stew eating or doing anything. And it came from the tabloids. I want to believe that he is telling the truth but I know he is lying because of the chemistry he has on screen with Kristen Stewart. They can't act for shit so it has to be real….
This interview was released on their website in May. It was conducted at the Cannes film festival which was before all the latest "Robsten" crap.

He isn't telling the truth. You notice on the cover of the magazine its a November issue. They have since been photographed holding hands and flirting during the New Moon press tour. I think they are going the Beyonce/Jay-Z route. Just never admit to it or discuss it. Beyonce/Jay-Z did that for years…and have just recently talked about their wedding.
If he says he's single, I believe him. Until there a clear picture of him kissing somebody off set (whether it's Kristen or not) shows up or he say's he dating somebody, I won't believe the rumors.
