GM Still Cares About Tiger

Actually, they care about his car!

GM is planning to repair the Escalade involved in the Tiger Woods accident including the crushed front of the car and the rear windows smashed in by a golf club courtesy of his wife Elin Nordegren.

The vehicle was for promotional use and therefore gets the royal treatment. Cadillac spokesman David Caldwell says:

"The vehicle will be repaired, firstly. This is a promotional/marketing vehicle — the kinds of cars used for advertising, public displays, photography, etc. That makes this a little different than a garden-variety care repair — given its special usage."

The car could continue to be used as a promo vehicle or be auctioned off with some believing the car would go for a LOT more at auction if it was left as-is. We tend to agree.

We're sure there are plenty of whack-jobs who would like to own that piece of American history!

The car is titled to GM. It is not Tiger's property. Gm can repair it or trash it. It is up to the insurance company.
