Although he requested for his child support payment to be decreased, Nas will be paying quite the hefty sum to his ex, Kelis, and their baby boy, Knight.
A Los Angeles Superior Court judge ordered the rapper to increase his monthly child and spousal payments from $40,000 to $52,101, which totals to more than $600,000 a year!!
Wowsa!
Nas' lawyer, Mark Vincent Kaplan, claims that his client came out ahead because although he will have to front the extra $10,000 per month, he no longer has to pay expenses on the couple's former El Lay home.
Riiight.
Yet, Kelis may also have some money of her own! She signed a new record deal with Interscope and is working a new album with a "futuristic disco" sound, which was inspired by her pregnancy and birth of her baby.
