Def Leppard Sued By Former Manager

Although we once assumed Def Leppard's biggest problem was getting people to remember them, that's no longer the case!
Their former manager, Trudy Green, filed a lawsuit against the eighties band and their accountant for breach of oral contract, fraud and intentional interference of a contract among a few other zingers.
Green begun managing the band in 2005, but the trouble began during their 2008 tour!
The court documents state:
"Plaintiff was not paid its earned commissions on this tour pursuant to the Agreement and, after the Band had been paid, spent the next several months working with Def Leppard’s accountants and other professionals to determine the amount of commissions due, and to ultimately receive payment."
She is seeking a jury trial and asking for at least $700,000 in damages as she believes she is owed $75,000 in commissions for the 2008 tour, $85,725 from merchandise sales and $551,250 for the 2009 US tour.
That's what they get for leaving her High 'n' Dry!

well that sucks
Not a fan since I bought my Pyromania cassette tape as a kid. But it should be noted this band is a hard working band that plays to crowds that Mario's tour could not even have prayed to see. They tour every summer usually with one or two other 80s rock acts. Also their most recent recording in 2008 premiered at number 5 on the Billboard 200.
I think it's funny that fat ass rips on these older bands, and always leave out they've outsold that tranny Lady Ga Ga many times over!
What's next you hypocrite? Is Metallica irrelevant now too?
been a fan since 1980 — am sure there's another side to this lawsuit
Luv me some Joe Elliott!!
Pour Some Sugar On her.
Was staying in the same hotel they were back in 2003 in Florida … though they were having a post-concert party on the top floor, most of the band was at the lobby bar drinking.
.
Nice guys. They look taller in their videos and pics, etc., but they were very nice. I expected attitude, and got/saw none.
Def Leppard has sold something like 100 million records worldwide. Sliimy has sold how many? And I don't care how many times Perezito claims that "our Gagaloo is amazeballs!!!!!!", in ten years fewer people will remember her than do Def Leppard. Here in the UK (and probably the US as well), Def Leppard still plays to massive crowds, and keep releasing well-received albums. Not to mention the fact that they are stinking rich. Wait for the time when nobody remembers you, Perez, and see if you have anything to show for it!
Def Leppard fills stadiums everywhere, and their concerts are extraordinary. Their following's from off the grid, and then some. Their accountant might have some 'splainin' to do, but don't tar them with the same brush. More will come out.
i am, was always wil lb a fan of def leppard. i guess the people who don't know them were listening to mc hammer or vanilla ice way back, and those who don't rmember sold their soul to pop music..
Huge Def Leppard fan! Been to a couple of their concerts in the last few years and they fill that arena every time! They have a big following still as they are still quote talented. Other people here have a great point, they will be remembered for longer than your precious Gaga! They didnt have to pretend to be something theyre not for attention.
Re: @v@ – Stadiums? Are you sure about that?
Re: ap076 – Looked full to me, both times. : )
Re: ap076 – Damn, you're on it tonight…I can't believe I said 'everywhere.' I need to get some damn sleep. Happy holidays, apO. Your posts are always good.
EBERYONE REMEMBERS DEF LEPPARD ASSHOLE.
Perez, did you know the name of their album "High n Dry" or did you have to look that up? ;o)
oh well
