Michelle Duggar was rushed to the OR last night for an emergency C-section while healing in the hospital from gallstone complications!
Josie Brooklyn was born around 6:30 p.m. and weighed 1 lb., 6 oz.!
Thankfully the baby is in stable condition in the neonatal intensive-care unit at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and Michelle is resting.
We wish the Duggars well and hope that baby Josie remains stable and healthy!

A 1lb. baby? That sounds so UNHEALTHY! Maybe your womb needs a break? Human beings aren't meant to have this many children, and after the Duggard's show gets cancelled, the rest of society will have to take care of their burden. This family is selfish and awful. I can't believe people actually watch their show. Some women are just addicted to the attention being pregnant gives them. It is gross.

To those of you who obviously do not know the Duggar story, they do not in any way depend on the government to support their children or the income from the show. They own several businesses including car lots and are DEBT FREE. They owe no money on their home or any vehicle. They built their own home and support their own children. How many Americans can say that? Not too many. I, for one, am amazed at how loving and caring they are. Instead of judging them how about we all say a prayer that the new baby will be fine and healthy as well as mom.
Hopefully they will see this as a sign from God to stop making babies and get on some birth control!! 19 children is idiotic!! And I am sorry, but now that the mother is getting older she needs to see that her baby making days should be over. If not the next baby may not survive!
My prayers are with that family, especially Miss. Josie. . .I had a 2 pounder, I know the roadwill be long for them, so my thoughts will be with them for awhile. . .
And for all you negative people out there, we can't control how many children people have, and Josie is still a person, and is still THIER CHILD, please don't cause more hurt for them right now, while they sit by her side, watching her struggle to breathe. Now is NOT the time.
God bless you Duggar family. Perhaps this is God's way of trying to tell Michelle, that while each child is a blessing from above, her body is a temple and it needs a break. If she continues to push the limits of her body, I fear something far more complicated will occur and she may not be around to care for her 19 children.
Did she learn the lesson that she's too old…not to mention that her poor abused body probably can't carry anymore childrent to full term!
It's time to stop! God is trying to tell them something.

I hope and pray the baby will be ok…..but I really think that THIS is their sign from God to stop having babies. They took her miscarriage early in their marriage as a sign from God to go off birth control…hopefully they listen and see this "sign".

As a mother to a preemie, my heart goes out to them.
There are life impacts that happen to child born prematurly. I am curious if the show/media will focus on what all is in involved with a preemie or will they *spin it* like usual with the rose colored glasses for the future?

Michelle and her husband just need to get responsible about Michelle's health and that of their babies. 2 premmies…..that's a sign….and it would be very irresponsible on their part to have another.

First priority is prayers for this child to be healthy and safe. I think the family has been so fortunate not to have a special needs child previously, because they really would not have been free to have to many other children.
That is quite a bit premature going by the weight. Neonatal Intensive Care has come such a long way that the baby should be safe and start growing. I would take this as a sign that it is time to stop though. Best wishes for the newest family member.

This bitch is using OUR tax money to take care of her brood of children. Somehow even though they have a TV show, they are still on assistance and get donations from churches around the area, but that isn't enough for ALL of them. Perez, my daughter was born at 1lb 3oz & 12inches, which later turned into 12oz and 12inches still (obviously), I wish them all the best its a very scary road to go down, that not everyone makes it out of, we are blessed to still have our daughter now ready to turn 6. My best wishes and prayers go out to them.

Hopefully this will be the last child Michelle has…..but I'm thinking that if this 1lb little baby dies, Michelle will think she needs to have more to make up for the one that she lost.
Eek! 25 weeks is way too early, that baby is barely viable and will be lucky to survive! And if the child does survive it has a long list of potential complications and health issues to face.
