Waitress Sues For Not Going Out With Owen Wilson
Seriously!?
Monica Mateo, a waitress at New York's Cafe Habana is suing the eatery and her place of employment after her hours were slashed when she turned down an offer to go on a date with Owen Wilson.
According to the waitress, the restaurant manager Leslie Meenan was pissed at her for not accepting the invitation. Meenan reportedly told the employee "You know what coffee means in Hollywood, right?…Don't screw this up. Owen's a good customer."
Monica apparently had no interest in Kate Hudson's sloppy seconds and already had a boyfriend.
When the only job Owen can get are movies about dogs, we can't say we blame her for turning the guy down.

Double-standard, blatant sexism … Also, Wilson's lawyers acted quickly to protect his rep in that situation and Wilson seemed to learn nothing about respecting other people's feelings and seemed to gain little or no understanding about complex relationships (a marriage) that are obviously deeper than Wilson's own usual one-night stands. Also, his drug-fueled health issues which resulted in his unfortunate "incident" in 2007 also seemed to not encourage him to truly change his mucky lifestyle. For a supposedly intelligent guy, Wilson seems to have a real problem with responsibility in his own life, consideration for others and, really any real type of emotional growth. I wouldn't put it past him to throw a strop if he had been in one of his moods and felt rejected and then caused trouble (even in an indirect way) for the poor waitress.
