A Humbled Kanye Wins Album Of The Decade
Kanye and his beloved caps lock key have been pretty quiet since his display of megalomania at this year's MTV Video Music Awards, but not for long!
A newly humbled Kanye posted a blog entry over on his official website after finding out that his debut album, The College Dropout, had been named the Top Album of the Decade by Entertainment Weekly!
Writes 'Nye:
WOW… THIS IS REALLY FLATTERING… I'VE HAD SOME UPS AND DOWNS THIS YEAR, WELL ACTUALLY THIS DECADE. JUST SEEING THIS COVER TAKES ME BACK TO THAT TIME OF MY LIFE. I REMEMBER HOW MUCH PAIN AND LOVE WENT INTO THIS ALBUM. NO ONE SAW IT COMING. THIS PROJECT WASN'T ABOUT ME, IT WAS ABOUT A TIME IN PEOPLES LIVES WHERE PEOPLE FORCE OPINIONS ON YOU AND YOU HAVE TO MAKE CHOICES FOR YOURSELF. WE LOVED 50 CENT BUT WE WANTED TO BE THE YANG. Hey moron, he writes his blog entries in the title area of his blog. It's default caps, so he isn't purposefully typing with caps lock on all the time. Anyone with a bit of intelligence could realize this by scrolling down and seeing all blog title characters are capital letters.

I feel like while crazy 'Nye has made some major mistakes and acted like a supreme douche at times, he IS at the end of the day an INCREDIBLE musician and songwriter - College Dropout was my favourite album when it came out, and I'm defs not a big rap fan. His lyrics are always powerful and different and give a hint to the true depth and complexity of his character - SO CURIOUS to see what he would be like one-on-one.
