Sources are confirming that Shia LaBeouf has left his agency, WME, as of last Friday. From now on, his career will be taken care of solely by his manager, his attorney, and his own two cents, whatever that is worth.
This is a huge blow for the agency and a big middle-finger to the woman who got him all his best deals, like Indiana Jones 4 and Transformers, Megan Silverman.
Though the source says the split was amicable, we can't see that being the case after all the hard work this chick has put into this guy and making him a star.
Oh, and the supposed reasoning behind his walk-off into agentless territory?
Leo did it! Shia is looking to pursue a route laid down by DiCaprio in his early career years.
Maybe you should have talked that over with him first, before you did it. As we recall, he was MIA for AWHILE in the industry until he hooked up with Martin Scorsese.

Well am sure she was a major part in getting him started he isn't require to stay with her for the rest of his life and it doesn't make him a bad person because he wants to take a new direction. As an agent, it's a huge kick in the teeth when you work hard for a client and they drop you when things are going well. There is absolutely no loyalty in this business. And no thanks either. Actors start getting big heads, thinking they need a "bigger" agent. The actors success will also help their agent become a "bigger" agent. But it doesn't work that way. Shame on Shia.

I see nothing wrong with ending the relationship. An agent is just another person taking a piece of the pie. He may find it more difficult to get some gigs without agency representation though, Hollywood is funny that way.
