Good for them, of course the bigots will be on here complaining, trying to use their religion to excuse their bigotry. Funny of course, that even though the same religion prohibits adultry, divorce etc…you never hear them supporting outlawing THOSE two subjects. They only follow their religion when it supports their own bigoted opinions.

Strangely enough, this is completely true. I felt completely different before getting married to my partner. It's much more enriching and fulfilling when you're officially a couple.

Re: Spindoc – i'm a christian as well as absolutely in favor of marriage equality (for that matter, i'm in favor of equality of every type under the law). i'm glad you didn't say the 'christians' on here would…but instead actually hit it square on the head pointing out that people twist religion to support their hatred. Jesus brought a message of love, not hatred. aside from that, though, i think this quote is kinda dumb. a legal document issued by the state government does not in any way influence how i feel about my husband. i mean, i'm glad they're happy and i hope they keep their commitment to each other (just as i hope for every couple because i don't agree with divorce), but i think the deepness and richness of any relationship comes with time and effort, it isn't issued by the government!

that is really beautiful words…..they must be so happy…i love that there so happy,i think love is not something that can be contained or measured its big beautiful and deep stronger than us than anyone its overpowering and i think in ways it comes in all shapes and sizes but that kind of implies…that you can hold love contain it but i think its bigger than the world but love is everywhere so powerful and im really happy there so happy i wish them the best happiest life together xxx

Re: Spindoc – In fairness, both divorce and adultery were against the law in many places, so it's not as though that hasn't been tried before. (Ireland, a member of the E.U., is still torn over divorce and abortion.) Adultery is still a crime in New Hampshire.
