    5. 5

monique killed it in Precious. i'm so excited for her. she did such a good job i am uncomfortable watching her television show. i keep waiting for her to snap and beat someone's ass, then put her wig on and start smoking.

    6. 6

So glad 'Modern Family' is nominated for Best TV Series
Also Edie Falco for Nurse Jackie

    7. 7

There are some weak nominations up there… I didn't realize what a slow movie year this was.

    16. 16

      JON HAMM FTW.

    17. 17

I'd like to see Precious win. I usually don't watch or enjoy many drama type movies, but I was really moved by this movie and the acting was great.

Alexander Skarsgard should get nominated for best supporting actor. True Blood wouldn't be nearly as good without his performances.

YES Micheal C. Hall and John Lithgow for Dexter!! Anna Paquin got two nominees! Fantastic! And NPH BETTER WIN THIS TIME!!!

    22. 22

Re: PandaSue – I AGREE. Sons is a GREAT show and Mama Gemma should get an award for that!

    36. 36

Re: mrnglory00 – I agree. Skarsgard was born to play Eric Northman. He REALLY broke out this Season on True Blood I cannot BELIEVE he didn't get a nod. Talk about being snubbed?

    37. 37

      MERYL STREEP JULIE & JULIA

I hope she wins, she was fantastic in that! It looked like you were watchign Julia Childs the whole movie.

    38. 38

      precious was amazing.
      karen o

    51. 51

Can NPH finally win an award, please? How many nominations did he get in the past years for Emmys and Globes? C'mon!

    52. ap076 says – reply to this

      52

The usual mixture of expected and surprises as well as out in left field nominations in the Movies category.
In the Television category lots of same olds but also some new blood.
      Standouts:
-Glad to see Modern Family and Glee up for Best Comedy TV, Go MF.
-Good to see Anna and True Blood Nominated.
-Well deserved nomination for Juliana Margolis for he Good Wife.
-Courtney, Lea, and Toni bring some new blood tom the Actress TV comedy category.
-Good for Jane and Jane for Hung, though I have never watched it.
-Congrats to Lithgow for Dexter I hope it is a lock.
That sums up the newbies (to me) in the TV category, the rest are all pretty much been there done thats. The Globes are noted for recognizing new TV talent.
Hopefully most of those mentioned above will win.

    53. 53

i hope Michael C Hall wins but if John Lithgow doesn't win then it's totally unfair. his portrayal of Trinity was beyond amazing

    54. 54

Alexander Skarsgard should have been nominated and subsequently won for best supporting actor. such a shame. MAY DEXTER WIN ALL!!!!!!!!

    55. 55

glad to see so many brits up there! one or two of the films arent out yet (at least where i am) but look good but pretty good list overall for what i have seen of them. endgame was brilliant and im looking forward to seeing avatar tomorrow and precious asap!

    56. 56

Can't believe smSons of Anarchy got ROBBED!!! omg!!! BEST show on television!!!! WTF!!!!

    57. 57

jane lynch and glee! are you mad that twilight ddint get nominated perez

    58. 58

I'm surprised that The Big Bang Theory is not nominated at all :(

    59. 59

GLEE!!!! Yesssssss!!!! I hope they win something if not all 4 nominations! :D

    60. 60

Re: kjmac – Agreed! So happy Grey Gardens got a nod, what a fantastic film.

    61. 61

I am REALLY happy that Courtney Cox got a big nomination for once. During Friends she was always overlooked for some reason, while the other five regularly got nominated. Congrats, Courtney!

    62. 62

      COURTENEY COX FTW!
SO glad that finally she has been nominated for something! Hated how her performances on Friends were always overlooked when none of the other fives' were :( Hopefully she can get this and she can be rewarded for the talent that she has :)
      BRING ON THE EMMYS!! :)

    63. 63

      Precious FTW :)

    64. 64

      Hah!
the old freckle murderer must be steaming at not getting a nom- not that anyone would notice

      oh and yay for glee!

    65. 65

      Inglorious Basterds!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    66. 66

Wow the animated feature category has got some winners this year! I wonder who it will go to.

    67. 67

      70

I loved House the first season, but, come on. It's the same story line every week. Give us a break.

    71. 71

WHY is Jeremy Renner not nominated for best performance by an actor in a motion picture – drama?????????

    72. 72

Damn, most of those movies that are nominated had just been released or isn't even released yet.

    73. 73
