    … just watched the trailer… almost didn't because of Russell Crowe being in it….. it doesn't look bad at all. The cinematography looks beautiful and Cate Blanchette is in it…. so it can't lose … she is AMAZING to watch and beautiful to look at. I think it stands a pretty good chance.

    It looks great to me. It looks way darker and grittier than the Kostner version. I love Russell Crowe, so I am looking forward to watching this movie. I'm a huge Ridley Scott fan and I like that he made Robin Hood grittier, it looks more realistic.

    I guess you are entitled to your opinion as opinions are like assholes and everyone has one, but this trailer looks great.
    It looks like a century accurate, action packed, no nonsense, version of the Robin hood legend. In the 12th century people looked a lot more like this than in the poorly acted, clean faced, combed hair, tights wearing version that Costner was in.

    I will admit, 1. I am not a huge fan of Russell Crowe and 2. When I first watched this I was a little dismayed that it looked Maximus woke up from the dead in the future a couple centuries later "Gladiator 2.0"

    But I watched it again and I think it's going to be a fantastic take on Robin Hood. It seems a lot more griddier and realistic than the Kevin Costner version which was way too fake and boring. I really didn't mind the music backing the trailer either, I thought it set the tone quite well.

    Beyond that, I love Cate Blanchett and I am so glad that she replaced Sienna Miller. I disagree with what others are saying about her being "too old" to play Maid Marian. Cate is a natural beauty and thus it seems more realistic that she should play the role. They can't have an actress in there that needs to be decked out in pounds of visible makeup to look good in a time period where MAC cosmetics and the like were not available.

    Aaaare you kidding me with Kevin Costner? He is possibly the WORST actor in the history of acting. I loved Robin Hood Prince of Thieves when I was 12, watched it again when I was 29 and just about died laughing at Costner's complete inability to act…let alone attempt an English accent.
    Terrible.

    One of my first favorite movies of all time was Bladerunner and it was a Ridley Scott movie. They made the movie the way it was supposed to be made. All this stuff about men in tights with dapper little hats is completely fictitious. Tights were not worn by men in the time of Robin Hood. They went thru the story and made it the way it really was.

    Gladiator was an awesome movie but I will reserve judgment on this one till I see it, because the trailer isn't so great. I still love the old Robin Hood, which is why I think this one should have been cast differently Cate isn't a very believable Maid Marianne. The main actress from pushing daisies I could see better suited or just anyone who was older but had the ability to look young.

    And to all those people who comment saying shit like Perez doesn't have good taste, he sucks, or anything along those lines. Don't fucking read the website then. Morons…..

    i think it would be awesome, if it wasn't the story of Robin Hood! I guess I'm just too used to the pretty-boy versions, tinkerbell-looking versions. But, Ridley Scott, Cate Blanchett, and Russell Crowe haven't done anything really shitty, so there's definitely hope.

    P.S. If you thought Kevin Costner's Robin Hood was good, your taste is even worse than I thought!

    Gladiator was legendary and if this movie turns out to be Gladiator 2 then we should all be thanking Ridley Scott. Furthermore, KC almost ruined Robin Hood for me. As far as I'm concerned the only 2 Robin Hood movies are the disney one and Men in Tights. WE NEED THIS.
