First Look At The Runaways!

Here's the first trailer for the new Joan Jet biopic, The Runaways! (above)

Just so you know, that is Dakota Fanning belting out a tune and in some sort of miracle, Kristen Stewart found the restraint to only bite her lip once during the entire trailer.

A triumph indeed.

      So the trailer was 50 seconds and we saw Kristen bite her lip, once again. Looks like the whole movie will be filled with lip biting huh? Dakota looks amazing!

      Perez, the lip biting thing is hot to most guys who like women. Stop being jealous of a 19 yr. old girl b/c she's effing the boy you wish you could have but can't…same way you're always hating on V Hudgens b/c she's effing Zefron. Grow the hell up, you need to act your age.

      I'm giving away my age but I was such a Runaways fan in the early 80's… they were a huge influence for my band back then…. and I'm dying to see this film… Kirsten and Dakota look eerily like their characters in certain angles…. very cool…
      …and just so you know…. Joan Jett used to constantly bite her lip… she was like a hard core female Elvis….only dead gorgeous.

      A good bio-pic about them might go a long way towards getting them at least nominated for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
      It is pretty much a boys club with some exceptions. Some ladies deserving of nomination/induction include Tina Turner (solo), Linda Ronstadt, Stevie Nicks (solo), Pat Benetar,The Go-Gos and many other who although they are not Rock and Roll should still be considered for a genre adjacent to Rock, like The Bee-Gees and Run DMC were inducted. Some of these ladies include Cher and Donna Summer (a nominee but not an inductee this year). The future rock legends site is really fun as you can type in any artist and see what year they are eligible, etc.

Because the track played in the trailer sounds exactly like the original song… I don't think she's singing that buddy.       Sandy West partied out my place in Huntington Beach in the 80s' and was a broken women when I met her, she had fallen on hard times, and had a hard time getting over the fact that their band was OVER and shed could not move on, it was her greatest heartache they were never reocgnized then and could not pull themselves back together to become and It group again. I felt bad for her then and I feel bad for her now knowing how she died before she could see this movie come to fruitiion. Sandy was like a ltitle girl when I met her, sad and broken. This is what the industry and her bandmades did to her, and she turned to drugs and was very misunderstood.
      I will never forget meeting her and hearing her and listneing to her cry how hard it was for her to get over their smashing success only to be forgoten about in later years as if they never existed. She was so talented and never was ever given that recognition she so deserved. RIP SANDY! You rocked!
