Nancy O'Dell Is Leaving Access Hollywood!
She's been with that show for what seems like forever!
Nancy O'Dell is leaving her position as co-anchor on Access Hollywood two years before her contract expires with her last show being this week.
Her rep has issued the following statement:
"The original member of the Access Hollywood family, co-anchor and respected broadcast journalist Nancy O'Dell, has chosen to leave the show after 13 years. O’Dell appreciates NBC’s cooperation as she begins this next chapter in her career.
"Even though she will be leaving for a new opportunity, this decision is based totally on Nancy’s desire to take her career to the next level and is completely amicable. She will continue on with projects as a broadcast entertainment journalist."
Rumor has it that O'Dell hasn't liked the sensationalistic direction the show has been taking and wants to leave so she is not associated with that type of journalism. Well she certainly won't be headed over to Extra or The Insider in that case! A source reveals:
"She has spent a lot of years building respect in the entertainment community and celebrities trust her. She's known as the nice and classy girl. She values that."
Nancy has yet to make an announcement about what she's up to next, but her next scheduled broadcast appearance is as host of the Tournament of Roses parade on New Year's Day.
We'll be sad to see her go, but we're sure there's some hot young thing ready to snap up that job opening!

Why do all the females in Hollywoodland insist on the bushels of fake hair? It is so unflattering to most. I saw SJP on -Regis and Kelly today and threw up in my mouth a little. I guess the idea is that the voluminous hair takes your attention away from the face and covers up the fact that they are old or fugly or both.
