Avatar Off To A Solid Start

James Cameron's latest epic Avatar has already grossed an estimated $3 million after it's midnight opening on Friday!

With a run time of longer than 2.5 hours, Avatar has received mostly good reviews and movie-goers have the option of seeing the flick in 3D!

I loved it; it's one of the top ten movies of all time. Flawless effects, good strong story with lots of current significance, great characters, even a nice little love story that works better than you's expect. Stars Wars is just low budget hokum compared to this. Home run for all it's creators.

I just came home from the premiere and it was AWESOME! Seriously I'm a real medianerd (studied it for 4 years) and the effects were DOOPE and the movie was not so much kliché thats what I love about james cameron u know with titanic the guy dies in the end and it's not a happy ending, not that avatar has a sad ending but u knwo what I mean, AWESOME! see it

It sets the new standard for 3D Films. It's bloody amazing. Story is pretty good kind of shallow and trite in some spots but it doesn't matter in the end. 5/5!

I echo everyones veiw on this movie. Let the awards begin. This is by far the best movie I have seen since I don't know when. I would watch it again and again. I can't find the words to express how much I LOVED this movie. Great SE, Love Story, Action, creatures. AWESOME!!!!!!AWESOME!!!!! Go see it this weekend you will not be disappointed. James Cameron wrote the screenplay 15 years ago and took 4 years to make. You will see why!!! There is nothing like this movie. It blows everything else out of the water.

I saw it at midnight and it blew me away. I knew to expect AMAZING special effects, but every review I read before I saw it said the story was going to be lack luster. They were wrong!!! James Cameron really knows how to make you care about his characters, and although it was REALLY long, you wanted to be there to see what happened!!! I Loved it and totally recommend it!!!!

Best 3d I have ever seen. First time I could keep those horrible glasses on the whole time. Over all an above average movie. Nothing special about the story. Mostly reused story lines from many movies we have all seen before. Some very corny to laughable scenes The blue people seemed a bit cartoonist sometimes. I never need to see it again.

Just saw it in IMAX 3D…first IMAX 3D movie ever and I'm blown away on how good the 3D effect works. The special effects were AWESOME and I think I'm spoiled. The movie industry needs to start making every movie 3D. It's worth the extra money too.

If you have not seen a new 3D movie…you need to made this your first. You get lost in the movie and it feels like you are on the planet. No cheezy 3D tricks…it all works great. The story was also pretty good…don't know what some critics were saying.

Saw it today and it was absolutely amazing. The plot is a mixture of Pocahontas and Fern Gully…but the visuals are so stunning, it makes you wish it were real! And yes, it was a bit long, but you will be captivated the entire time so it's barely noticeable! Definitely want to see it again!

Saw it in IMAX 3D last night… anything less will not do the movie justice. THe sense of scale is mesmerizing. As good as the movie is, definitely best of 2009, I have one bad thing to say about it… the story has been done. It's like Ferngully mixed it with the told over and over again theme of trying to fit in and finding love in the wrong places.

If anyone goes to see this movie they have no choice but to go and see it in 3D. I saw it last night and it was by far………… the best movie I have seen all year! It was AMAZING!!! I never wanted it to end. There were no boring parts at all and you never had the urge to check your phone and see what time it is and when this movie was going to be over. It was absolutely AMAZING!!!! I would go back and see it a million times!!! GO SEE IT!!
