Morrisey is losing his giblets over an email!
The British rocker, who is a strict veggie man, is pissed that his employees managing his online store sent out a Thanksgiving-centric email to fans prompting them to eat turkey.
The horror! On Thanksgiving of all days!
He was so appalled by the mix-up that he insisted his people put out an apology, which they did, and reads:
"Webstore wishes to apologise to Morrissey mailing list members who may have seen the mass email advertisement that was sent out after Thanksgiving which mentioned eating turkey. Morrissey is a strict vegetarian and abhors the killing of defence-less animals."
We think you need to simmer down, pal! No one cares that much!

Funny story about Morrisey. I was once in a limo with The Pet Shop Boys ( a story all its own) and was talking with the lead singer Neil. They had just finished working with Johnny Marr (formerly of the Smiths) and Bernard Sumner (of New Order) under the title of Electronic. I asked about the possibility of a Smiths reunion (this was in the 90s) and he said Morrisey wishes, he keeps sneaking up to Johnny's gate and throwing over love poems and begging to get the band back together. Just thought I would share. I will always love both the Smiths and Morriseys solo work.
Meat may be Murder but I am going to sit down to a turkey sandwich for lunch in ten minutes.

If animals weren't meant to be eaten they shouldn't have been made out of meat!

The turkeys should be provided with sharp little knives so as not to be "defence-less". The stores could have a special section for free range turkeys captured and killed in hand to hand combat.

You don't know what you are talking about. Soybeans, buckwheat, and hempseeds are just a few non-meat foods that contain large amounts of all the essential amino acids. Perhaps if people were more educated about a vegan diet, and realize that it's actually more healthy if executed properly, there would be fewer meat eaters in the world.

Perhaps if people were more educated about a vegan diet, and realize that it's actually more healthy if executed properly, there would be fewer meat eaters in the world.

If the animals were allowed to all roam free and reproduce with no natural predator such as man, they WOULD eat all the vegetation on the vegetarians. The earth has checks and balances for a reason, and it was ever so. Let a pack of wild hogs run wild in an area for a decade and just watch the mess and chaos they create. I underline that I do believe in proper, merciful conditions and culling for stock animals raised for food.
In fact we do care that much and morrissey ALWAYS stands for the animales rights.
