MJ Tribute Concert Isn't Happening

mj-wenn__opt11__opt11__opt13__opt1.jpg

Sorry guys!

The Michael Jackson tribute concert is officially cancelled!

The concert fell apart on Friday after World Awards Media GmbH, the organizers of the event, shut down for good!

Yikes.

The event, also organized by Jermaine Jackson, began to lose steam when its location was moved from Vienna to London due to the scheduled musical acts quickly changing their minds about taking place in the tribute.

Mary J. Blige, Chris Brown (really??) and Natalie Cole were originally scheduled to appear at the concert, but cancelled after the media treated them like "B-list" artists, according to World Awards Media GmbH.

Too bad!

      I'll repost what I wrote earlier….
I don't understand why people are immortalizing this man. He had some good songs…BIG DEAL! He was also SUPER shady!

Hope people who truly deserve recognition get the same treatment after they pass (though I know they won't!).

    2. 2

      what bastards

    3. 3

      Well, they are B-list.

Organization problems have plagued this from the start. The Jacksons reality show gives you some insight into events on the first show. In my opinion to much involvement by Jermaine and his wife. The stars really needed to get on board and build this thing.
I would like to see an all-star tribute album like the one put together for Luther after he died.

    5. 5

I don't blame the "artists" for not wanting to be associated with a "tribute" to a child molester.

    6. 6

HOW LONG can these damned MJ tributes be milked? Jesus,

I think it's for the best, that concert would've been a disaster anyway, MJ deserves better than that.

    8. 8

all the Jackson family sees is $$$$$$$ when they think of their late brother… so sad….

    9. 9

I'm sure it will all eventually work out. I feel for those that were going that have to wait a little bit longer though. I'm pretty sure their will be many more tributes for Michael besides this one in the near future. Michael know's he's loved. ;)
      R.I.P Michael

Re: Tiedyedaisy – "He was also SUPER shady!"
What is your definition of shady? Yeah, he was "SUPER shady" for devoting his whole life to bringing awareness to taking care of the planet and helping others. His shadiness and selfishness made him give more money to charities then any other entertainer. Anytime Michael heard about someone in need, in trouble, or hurt on the news etc. he would do whatever he could to help them. His "shadiness" is what pressured him into visiting orphanages and hospitals anytime he could and before all of his concerts. Also it's your opinion to say he had "some" good songs but that is pretty laughable.

    11. 11

      hwywi. Really should be!

    12. 12

YES YOU FAT FUCK, CHRIS BROWN WAS GOING TO PERFORM!!!! HE'S THE BEST DANCER THIS DECADE HAS PRODUCED AND IS LIKELY TO BE FOR A LOOOOOONNNNGGG TIME! MICHAEL HIMSELF COMPLIMENTED CB AND TOLD HIM HE'S VERY LUCKY TO BE ABLE TO DANCE AND SING, AS MICHALE HIMSELF COULD (SOMETHING 99% OF TODAY'S STARS CANNOT DO!) What the flippen HELL do YOU know, Mario?! BESIDES ENJOYING THE NOTION THAT YOU'RE PART OF THE BIG PICTURE! You JOKE!

    13. 13

in the uk there is a competition on tv called 'move like micheal jackson', the winning act to perform at the tribute. the live final is tomorrow……wonder what'll happen………..

Re: MJ fan59 – Are you on crack? Or just been ignoring the news for the past 2 decades…he was a PEDOPHILE!!! and he even dangled his 'own' infant off a balcony. By saying he was SHADY, I was actually being nice.

    15. 15

Re: MJ fan59 – P.S. HE WAS ALSO A DRUGGIE!

    16. 16

      LET THE BUGGER DIE !!!!!!

    17. 17

LET THE BUGGER DIE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LEAVE IT ALONE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    18. 18

Re: Tiedyedaisy – Ever heard of the term innocent til' proven guilty?!?! Your not a judge and or a jury so please don't judge! In response to another of your post, YES he was a drug addict, that's undeniable! But, drug abuse is not a crime so it shouldn't be held against him.

    19. 19

Re: Tiedyedaisy – You say "P.S." as if your actually giving me some valuable information lol. No, I am not on crack or any other drug that you might have experienced in your lifetime. And obviously you hadn't been paying attention to the news because the news didn't accuse Michael of being a pedophile. Perhaps you didn't pay attention to the jurors either when they announced that Michael was not guilty of all 10 charges against him. Michael did not dangle Blanket, he held Blanket in the air which unfourtunately happened to be over the rail. It was a mistake. Parents make mistakes. Blanket is fine and that was how long ago?? Also Michael did have a problem w/ prescription medicine at one time. How about you tell us all about your demons before you pass judgement. And you say by calling him "shady" was nice. Well oh boy! I'm so scared to see what else it is that you could have called him….

    20. 20

      The pomposity !

Who do these simpleshits think they are ?

    21. 21

Re: CandyEyes – Drug use is not a crime? Where are you from???

    22. 22

No, no. You've got it all wrong. There's something bigger and better planned. BeLIEve.

    23. 23

Re: Tiedyedaisy – AMEN!! This guy did more drugs than Courtney Love & hadn't had a relavent song in YEARS! Why is everyone bypassing the fact that he was a drug addict that suffered at his own hands. I'm a recovering addict so I'm not trying to judge him. I'm just making the point that everyone is sidestepping the issue & giving idolization, but rips on the living for having similar issues if they don't like their music or whatnot….hypocrisy….

    24. 24

Re: Tiedyedaisy – In Michael Jackson's case, he was primarily addicted to prescription drugs (pain killers, the anesthetic drug propofol and anti-depressants), his abuse of the drugs was him consuming the drugs, that's all. His doctors (Klein, Murray) were forging prescriptions and using alias'. What the doctors did was illegal! Granted, he asked for the drugs, but his doctors were the ones that were committing the 'crimes' and malpracticing with medicine.

    25. 25

just let him rest in peace. His brothers need to stop trying to make money off of him.

    26. 26

only the famous Chris Brown can dance like michael jackson.THEY REST OF HIS FOLLOWERS WERE SUPER SAM SHADY!!!!!

    27. 27

Re: MJ fan59 – Amen :) ignorant people will be ignorant people. pointless to try to open their eyes. if they are oblivious to the amazing human michael jackson was then theyre close minded idiots and its their loss. i mean everybody is intitled to their own opinion, but you can at least be respectful, and you should probably know all the FACTS before you base your judgement on believing every single thing you read in the tabloids :p

ANYWAYS about the topic: im sure there will be another mj tribute concert taking place somewhere else soon, no worries :)

    28. 28

MJ said in an interview that Madona was super shady and didn't like her.Michael Jackson sold over 55 million records to madonas 25mil!!! The greatest muscian of all time was Box Car Willie!!

    29. 29

Re: Tiedyedaisy – You must be the most dumbest person on earth when mjfan said drug use isnt a crime im sure they meant prescription drugs! you know they are called drugs too you dumb turd!

    30. 30

Michael Jackson did not dangel his kis over the balcony. They were restless like all kids get and tried to jump over the railing and michael being the alert parent caught the Blanket right before he went overboard.

    31. 31

Don't you think there's been enough MJ Tribute's

    32. 32

Re: CandyEyes – He took drugs to ease his physical pain and help him sleep okay its not like he was some crackhead like lindsay lohan or something.

    33. 33

haven't they capitalized enough on michael's death? they have a show on the way for god's sake

    34. 34

Re: If u don't like Perez_why r u here – Oops! Sorry, my above post was supposed to be addressed to you, not to CandyEyes..

    35. 35

Oh I feel sorry for the blind -ignorant - defending someone they didn't even know MJ fans out there. It's amazing what the ignorant people of the world believe these days…of course he was a wonderful man, who didn't have multiple charges against him, hang his child off a balcony, take ILLEGAL drugs (even in terms of legal drugs in extreme excess counts too because it becomes illegal when it is taken over the limits) and was completely successful in the last 10 years. - wake up, grow up and move on!

Getting back to the main point, there is NO way in hell this man should be idolized and immortalized the way he has been. PERIOD.

    36. 36

    37. 37

aww the concert would porbably b amazing

    38. 38

CALM DOWN LOSERS! I think the concert would commemorate his life's work which, will obviously influence music for a long time. If people in the world want to look up to him for the good things he is remembered for LET THEM! What does anyone have to gain from focusing on the negative? I doubt anyone is proclaiming pedophilia is a good thing. F*CKING HATERS

    39. 39

umm okay all yall HATERS can fuck off his dick u already know micheal was the best ever so get wit it hoes

    40. 40

The problem with tribute concert was simple. No A list talent wanted to have any part immortalizing this drug addicted, homosexual pedophile.

    41. 41

well tietyedaisy, no disrespect towards you, but youre going to have to get used to it, cuz michael jacksons going to be idolized and immortalized for a longggggggg time comin ;)

    42. 42

Re: Tiedyedaisy – "defending someone they didn't even know"

LMAO.. MJ fans most certainly know Michael a whole lot more then you do. You make it quite obvious that you have done no research on certain things that you insist on talking about.

    43. 43

Re: EugenesAxe – First off, some of the people who were to pay tribute to Michael for this event plus many more artist have already held their own tributes in honor of Michael. Secondly Michael had a dependence on a medicine that helped him w/ a sleeping problem that he suffered from for years. He was introduced to this medicine from money hungry doctors who let money cloud their judgement and cloud the oath that they took. Thirdly he was not a pedophile for the billionth time and honey he most certainly wasn't homosexual (nothing against homosexuals) but Michael loved women but his world didn't revolve around trying to have what he could easilly get and that being women b/c he was to busy trying to bring awareness to us all about our planet and helping the children and all of those in need while being a father and sharing his talents with the world. You haters constantly bring up the same old tired and recycled crap. Oh yeah I forgot to mention that you might want to do some research. Just saying..

    44. 44

tiz a shame although HIS ARTISTRY WILL LIVE ON FOR MANY MANY GENERATIONS TO COME WITH OR WITHOUT A "TRIBUTE" CONCERT BY MONEY HUNGRY As$HOLES…
tells ya something when todays kids are singing along to human nature and rockin robin…

    45. 45

      Re: Tiedyedaisy
i feel bad for the dumb idiots who finds someone guilty because of uncredible media and shady accusers .the fans may not know him and neither do you dumb shit all you fuckin know it what you hear and obviously you went along with the reast of the dumbass blind sheep that would beileve the media if they said he could moon walk on fuckin water your telling somene to grow up but your on a fuckin blogg talking shit about a dead person .The only real problem micheal had was being to nice to money hungry leeches and allowing himself to get caught up with the bullshit …and yall wanna bring up his drug problems when elvis was doing every fuckin drug know to man and yet people still idolized his fat ass.yes people idolize and adore MJ get the fuck over it there is really no point for you to rant and bitch about it because at the end of the day he was one of the worlds biggest artist and YES people still do love him and as far as his last ten years uh hello bitch the man was 50 years old and was about to do a comeback tour the sold out in HOURS bitch his succes in the last couple of months is better then some artist complete career

my point is you lame ass MJ bashers LOSE he still has millions of fans and you dont like it ,cry me a fuckin river build that fuckin bridge and get over it "PERIOD".

    46. 46

Re: Tiedyedaisy – o yes giving millions of dollars to aids awarness, sickle cell research, cancer centers and research, burn victims, hospitialized kids,ECT is pretty damn shady like who does shit like that i mean even after his death whywould he give 20% of his estate to charity work that is pretty damn low and he didnt do shit for music i mean all he did was become the first black person to be played on MTV and thriller only out sold every album ever put out pshh BIG DEAL lmao

    47. 47

Re: justme09 – Ummm, Your pretty funny lol You say some stuff that I would never say outloud but I often times think about in my head.
"cry me a fuckin river build that fuckin bridge and get over it "PERIOD".
      Priceless lol

I wish you could have been around Michael when he was out shopping etc. telling the paparrazi off for him b/c he was too nice to do it for himself.

    48. 48

Re: MJ fan59 – lol there easy to make fun of because they sound so damn dumb to me instead of gettin mad i just make jokes off the stupid asses but yea he def needed somebody in his life to really help him out. micheal was way to nice and nieve for his own good ,things woulda went down alot diffrent if he had surrounded himself around the right people with the right intentions = /

      Who cares!

The world should not celebrate pedophiles!

    52. 52

Re: justme09 – I agree, alot of people really don't sound to smart. Especially when trying to discuss those false allegations against him. They didn't do any research at all on those extortion plots but still jump at every oppurtunity to try and discuss them as if they know what they're talking about. Good news for them though. The FBI will be releasing over 300 pages worth of information regarding those extortion plots for the world to see come Monday (tomorrow) so the uneducated haters out there really have no excuses as to why they still speak as if the truth isn't right in front of their faces.

    53. 53

Re: Arbi – "Who cares! The world should not celebrate pedophiles!"

And the world doesn't. We celebrate Michael.
FBI. Over 300 pages worth of information. December 21st. Read it.

    54. 54

I can't believe al the MJ apologists out there.

Face facts. MJ wasted his life bedding young boys and using drugs. The former cost him millions in hush money and lawyers. Freedom can be bought in America.

The latter lead him to spend his days laying in bed in a haze. The drugs killed him. Why was he addicted to drugs. Trying to forget something?

He was a wealthy man. Wealth provides power. The same power allowed him to conduct his pathetic life with impunity. Sham marriages, children born under shady circumstances, essentially to provide him "cover" to shield him from the truth, million dollar payoffs to make his victims go away. Why didn't he fight all the accusations? He had the means? The truth would have set him free, instead he paid one of his victims over 20M to go away. If I had his wealth and someone accused me of diddling little boys and I was innocent, I would fight the charges. He wasn't and didn't and we all know why. GUILTY.

    55. 55

More evidence that the Jackson family is in disarray. They should stop putting on shows and just grieve. They give the appearance that they are on a mission to make money. Enough already.

    56. 56

Re: EugenesAxe – AMEN!!! I'm glad someone else sees this! I'm done dealing with these crazies!

    57. 57

Re: totesmygoats – At least you were respectful, so I can respect your opinion. - thats a reference to Voltaire you ignorant mob - look it up.

    58. 58

That is sad, not because they canceled the concert. I was against it from the begining. It's sad because all the actions of the Jackson's brothers after MJ death has only prove that these guys never loved their brother. They only see him as a cash cow. How come Mary J. Blige and Natalie Cole are B list?

    59. 59

Who wants to see a bunch of spooks covering his candyass bullshit anyways. fuck him and his family

    60. 60

Re: EugenesAxe – You have the nerve to put "Face facts" when everything you just typed is not factual. Yes, Michael was a wealthy man and that is why he was tired by extorters his whole life. You say he didn't want to fight the charges.. WRONG! He fought those charges in the last accusations and he wanted to fight the first one's but he wasn't allowed to because he had people working for him who advised him to settle, one reason being so they could still collect their checks b/c he was at one of the biggest heights at that moment. Also Michael didn't pay them anything. His insurance company did and he wanted to fight it. Do your research.

    61. 61

Re: EugenesAxe – "Why was he addicted to drugs. Trying to forget something?"
Michael was put thru hell w/ those accusations. He was literally hit where it hurt b/c everyone knows that he adored children and would never dream of hurting them. One of his missions in life was to help the children so for someone to accuse him of hurting what he loved most crushed his soul. Michael was first introduced to pain meds for pain. He was human and like many other humans who go thru crap, they usually turn to things that for a second help them escape their hell. Not only was he innocent from the very start but his innocence was being questioned by the whole world when he did absolutely nothing wrong. There was nothing that he did that he was trying to forget but there was something that he was accused of that he was trying to escape.

    62. 62

Re: EugenesAxe – "Sham marriages, children born under shady circumstances, essentially to provide him "cover" to shield him from the truth, million dollar payoffs to make his victims go away."

LMAO so Michael's children and marriages were a big sham too huh? wow. Michael loved both of his ex-wives and they loved the heck out of him. Lisa Marie shot down your claim and the proof is right here on this site. She loved Michael and the marriage was legit. Why you care about his love life is your own problem though. How in the world were his children born under some shady circumstances?? He loved children. He always wanted children so it should have been no surprise when he finally had children. Any ordinary thing that Michael did ( like have children) is always questioned by people like you that have to pull anything from your behind to try and make him look like some weirdo. Yes, it was a crime for Michael to have marriages and have kids. Shame on him… and trust me, even after his extorters were paid big sums of money, they never went away. They never go away. They are still going after him today.

    63. 63

more like f list like you perez lol

    64. 64

Re: EugenesAxe – "Freedom can be bought in America."
That's about the only factual thing that you said. Too bad that doesn't pertain to Michael Jackson. Justice is also served in America and that is exactly what happened when Michael went thru hell everyday in that courtroom. Sitting up there having to listen to Tom Sneddon's bitter rants. Listening to his accuser and companies obvious lies on the witness stand (the same lies that the jury saw right through might I add) and having to see a boatload of media coverage who had accused him of being guilty before even 1 day of testimony. They were more concerned about what he was wearing, which members of the family showed up that day, and why he was looking so hurt? Also in America we have this somewhat shady bureau called the F.B.I and luck would have it that they are releasing the information regarding these accusations that you know nothing about. How's about you read up on it when they are released. A little knowledge won't hurt yah.

    65. 65

Re: Tiedyedaisy – First off were you in the room when these so called incidents happen???/ No you weren't so shut the hell up. Secondly the kids who are noww adults recanted their stories and said that he never touched him that their parents wanted money and the fact that one's of their dad's commited suicide just last month proves that he was feeling guilty for what he did to MJ. And a majority of molestors abuse their own kids and he didn't,

    66. 66

IF anyone should grow up it's you. If you don't like him don't comment and get a life. you are the only ignorant one. YOu say they are defending a man they don't know.BUt you're accusing him of things as if you were there.

    67. 67

Re: Tiedyedaisy – And who are those "truly dserving", oh great prophet? You don't know what you are talking about, it's obvious.

    68. 68

Re: idaknow – OH STFU. MJ was found not guilty on all counts. The extortionist, Papa Chandler commited suicide, before then he attacked his repentant son twice, and his son had sought injunction against him. You need to take your medication for your mental health.

    69. 69

Perez, the king of " schadenfreude " You have been praying that this MJ Tribute Concert will not happen. It will. I have been reading everywhere, that as usual you have already started to drag the name of Brittany Murphy through dirt immediately after her death.

    70. 70

Perez, the king of " schadenfreude " You have been praying that this MJ Tribute Concert will not happen. It will. I have been reading everywhere, that as usual you have already started to drag the name of Brittany Murphy through dirt immediately after her death.Re: Tiedyedaisy

    71. 71

Re: Tiedyedaisy – You are psychopath.Your inability to think makes it difficult to reason with you. Jackson was worth a million of your sort, with or without drugs, dangling or not dangling his son. For a cretin like you to presume to have enough brain cells to critiscise Jackson, is really a measure of your dementia.

    72. 72

Re: Tiedyedaisy – You are talking about people who do not know Jackson defending him? Did you know Jackson yourself? And please go home and play with your toys, then it is obvious you have NO IDEA about the definition of, and the laws pertaining to the prescribing and use of such drugs Trouble with you is you are trying to talk about Jackson's medical history, without any knowlege of medicine, and your education does not extend beyond tabloid rubbish.

    73. 73

That's a shame! It shouldn't have been about "A or B lists". It should have been about all the singers who loved MJ & were inspired by him. No one should be treated like they're not as important!

    74. 74

Re: Tiedyedaisy – LMAO! Actually have U been ignoring the news for the past decade?! He was acquitted on ALL charges! ANYBODY can make a malicious claim (especially for $) but it takes a better defense to prove them wrong & that's exactly what happened!

    75. 75

      thats selfish and f**ked up~!

    76. 76

Re: MJfan1 – Hun. Im on vacation so cant be on this site and defent MJ like Ive been. Just that u know. I will be back here and stand up for and defend MJ, together with u, when Im back.

    77. 77

Re: idaknow – have u studied the court documents? No u havnt. If you have then u should know that he did NOT do it. Go and read on the cases and then open your mouth.

    78. 78

No surprise there. His music was dated and tacky…just like he was. Pitiful, old molester that he was.

    79. 79

Re: CandyEyes – Whatever justifies it for you & helps you feel better about this man's death. But take it from someone who's been there in the past (forging drugs, making fake prescriptions, having a "Dr. Feelgood"), NO ONE is FORCING the drugs down your throat. And the equivalent of drugs he was doing, he'd been better off shooting some simple heroin. That was HEAVY shit he was on. Trust me on this. It's as much his fault as the doctors.

    80. 80

Re: totesmygoats – Which….drumroll please….IS STILL DRUG ADDICTION…When you are not taking the PRESCRIBED AMOUNT you are abusing them. Hence, the term drug abuse…He might as well been smoking crack or other drugs. Same difference….

Re: nanaama – How about people like Nelson Mandela?
Don't call people names, it really makes you show your complete and total ignorance.

    82. 82

Re: nanaama – Just cause I feel like it I'll list off more people…who should get the same circus act after they die…the difference being THEY WILL ACTUALLY DESERVE IT. See if you know any of them…if not you really should educate yourself:
      - Nelson Mandela
      - Romeo Dellaire
      - Bob Geldof
      - Irene Khan
      - Dorothy and Irving Stowe
      - Marie and Jim Bohlen
      - Ben and Dorothy Metcalfe
      - Bob Hunter
      - Jakob Kellenberger
      - Bill Gates

and the list could go on and on….most of these people also didn't have drug/child issues (except Dallaire, he was an alcoholic for a year after the genocide…but really could you have lived and witnessed that? - if you don't know EDUCATE YOURSELF!!!)

    83. 83

Re: Tiedyedaisy – So is that your problem?? You hold some type of weird grudge just because Michael has been recognized times over after his passing by the world and you disagree? If that's the case then perhaps you should get groups of people together from all around the world to hold tributes for all of those people that you named who you feel deserves all the same love that Michael has been receiving. Alot of people deserve alot of Love for all the good they did while on this earth. Michael has been receiving alot of love from all over the world not just because of the gift of talent that he gave the world but also for the great person that he was and he deserves all the love and some. BTW you should really take your own advice about the whole eduacation part that you mentioned.
