SuBo Tapped To Record Next Bond Song!

Wow, she must be honored!
Susan Boyle is in the running to record the next theme song for the upcoming James Bond movie with Daniel Craig, due out in 2011.
Monty Norman, composer of the 007 theme music, says, "They'll think seriously because she's got the right kind of sweeping voice," and Lee Pfeiffer, co-author of The Essential James Bond book agrees, saying that SuBo would be "a throwback to those great days when the likes of Dame Shirley Bassey would be asked to sing."
Her popularity continues to rise — her debut album has already sold 2 million copies worldwide making it the fastest-selling female debut album EVER!
You go, SuBo!

Oh no, no, no.
There is nothing sexy about this woman and Bond is supposed to be sexy. No.
Are you going to speculate that drugs will cause her death douchebag?
What not gaga? im appauled …hahahaha NOT!
you go SuBo!!! i love how she stays herself even though they gave her a makeover she's still the same person
I've said it before, SuBo is the human version of that Blue chick from "The Fifth Element," I think this is a great idea!
No, no, no. I say. This just isn't done!
I will NOT see the movie if she sings the theme song, seriously!
So happy for her. Go Susan
Surely "the wifey" can rework one of her existing songs and get tapped for a Bond song - I'll get him shot, show him what I got - muh muh muh muh muh muh muh shoot your face.
Perfect
The last three Bond theme songs with Jack White/Alicia Keys, Chris Cornell, and Madonna have definitely strayed from the sweeping, torch ballad Bond theme formula, but that has been done before as well.
Recently Sheryl Crowe and Garbage/Shirley Manson have come closer to that sweeping sound. Tina Turner's "Goldeneye" was the best of the last 6 Bond Themes, in my opinion. Tina will be the only artist to tackle a Bond song older than Boyle.
I am inclined to agree with Sweetpiece, Re: SWEETPIECE! – , She need not look sexy for me but her voice needs a sexy quality to it and I have just not heard that from Susan yet, not that it is impossible but unlikely.
Shirley Bassey, Lulu, Sheena Easton, Carley Simon, Gladys Knight, Rita Coolidge, Tina Turner, Nancy Sinatra, even Shirley Manson and Sheryl Crowe, I just don't see Susan Boyle's vocal style having the same sexy quality and provoking the same sexy imagery. And most of these women were in their 20's and 30's when they sang their bond songs.
The bond theme is going to Lostprophets….and they are absolutely perfect for it. SuBo won't even be around in 2011!!
they should use SOAKED by Glambert.
Perez - she's sold FOUR million copies worldwide and that's expected to hit 7 million by Christmas. You're so behind, or did you purposely minimize? She passed Lady Gaga's total this week…
-
For those suggesting she can't sing "torch" you haven't listened to either her CD or the videos on Youtube. Cry Me A River anyone? (the youtube version)
-
You don't think the vocal quality of Wild Horses would be appropriate also? Listen to her CD. She's a chameleon with her voice.
and we care about your not seeing it?
i'm sure the movie studio will change it for you…
too bad narcissism isn't curable…
I like Su-su, but that's too bad. I thought Gaga's "Poker Face" would make a perfect opening-titles Bond song. Maybe next time.
Oh hell no. Overrated bitch.
Perez, I give you props for being genuinely nice to Susan Boyle. I lover her. I can't wait for the next Bond movie to come out.
I thought Rihanna was gunning for that song with her new edgy videos. Too bad.
The worst Bond song EVER was that horrible and unlistenable twaddle that Madge the Vadge put out for Die Another Day. I always liked Duran Duran's A View to a Kill and Shirley Bassey's Goldfinger.
Dude, you're paying GossipCop.com's rent with all you wrong stories! LOL.

From GossipCop: SuBo Tapped To Record Next Bond Song!” screams the headline in a piece today by Perez Hilton in which he reports, “Susan Boyle is in the running to record the next theme song for the upcoming James Bond movie with Daniel Craig, due out in 2011.” He also says, “Wow, she must be honored!” More than that she’s probably surprised. But not nearly as surprised as those involved with the James Bond franchise. A source connected to the production tells Gossip Cop he “hasn’t heard anything like that at all.”
But Perez was more than double O wrong today.
Perez actually had a hat trick today, having gotten (so far) three stories WAY wrong. Earlier in the day, he mistakenly claimed that George Clooney went out on a date with Madonna (nope), and wrongly reported that Catherine-Zeta-Jones accidentally “flashed” the audience during a performance of her Broadway show, “A Little Night Music” (also nope).
No wonder Perez is so afraid of Gossip Cop.
Re: Honk_If_You_Hate_Perez –
In Perez's partial defense, he simply copied a story from Contact Music. Contact Music in turn copied it from various British tabloid reports. However, no body, including Perez, bothered to fact check it (and Perez misinterpreted the sort of vague Contact Music article to suggest that Boyle had sold 2 M copies so far, when it was actually in the first week of sales).

Re: Honk_If_You_Hate_Perez – Thankx for that one
i mean this story is BEYOND RIDICULOUS LOOOOL
It will be really hard to top Bassey's 'You Only Live Twice'. Good luck with that.
Wow, she's more popular than Jesus.
Re: @v@ – Whoops, brainfart. Meant Goldfinger…but liked Nancy Sinatra's You Only Live Twice.
I would definitely try SuBo if I was the James Bond producers.
Re: @v@ – Except for the fact it was sung by Nancy Sinatra.
