The V Word, Mia Kirshner Joins CW Show

Mia Kirshner of both The L Word and 24 is joining The CW's hit show The Vampire Diaries in a recurring role!

She'll be taking on the role of Isobel, "the sweet-yet-dangerous wife of Matt Davis' history teacher, Alaric."

Her first episode will air on January 21.

      wait…. does this mean i can finally utter, in all seriousness, the words 'Perez Hilton is a fan of VD'?? THAT would make my day.

      not to be a stickler…

      but i don't recall alaric having a wife in the books.

      yep, he sure didn't.

      he ended up with Meridith, who doesn't even exist in the CW's version.

      just sayin.

      then again, they seem to be taking many liberties… no Aunt Jenna, and her younger sister is now a younger brother.

      that said, still enjoy the show!

      She looks too old to play his wife… and it's kind of fun to see the liberties they have taken with the Vampire Diaries. The show is just as interesting, albeit prone to cheese, as the books.

      the same bs every week playing random episodes we've seen fifty times already

      Saying The Vampire Diaries is a hit is almost a complete lie.
      The show is the Hit Series of the CW lineup. That is like saying Gonorrhea is the best VD compared to anal warts, herpes, clamidia, or syphilis.
      The show is the lowest rated show out of all other network shows in total viewers on Thurs. except for CWs Supernatural (which I love). Even Jay Leno beats it in total viewers.
      In the most valuable demo of ages 18-49, Vampire Diaries or VD as I will now call it beats the aforementioned Leno and Supernatural only. VD is not a hit but a CW hit.

      Mia played a complete psycho on the L word (killing dogs say whaaat), but that was the writers' fault, not hers.

      Also this is a bad picture of her, she's actually gorgeous.

      I just bumped into her at Target in W. Hollywood and she was the nicest! I told her I loved her on the L Word and asked if she was doing anything now but I guess she couldn't confirm then….she was so nice…..and I already love the show, this is going to make it even better!

      hmmm thats an interesting switch from the original character, in the books Isobel was a possesed little girl cutting herself and trying to eat her grandma due to twin werefoxs taking over the town….I will embrace the change because I like being suprised this way I can enjoy the books and the television show….so welcome girl get it done!!!!

      I love her as an actress, she has a great range. So I think that she'll be a good addition to the show. I hope they don't put her in too many scenes with Ian Somerhalter though, that would be way too much for my libido to handle! lol
