Saturday Night Live has announced that retired basketball star Charles Barkley will be hosting the first show of 2010 on January 9th.

Really Lorne!? Were all the other celebs still on vacation?

The last time Sir Charles hosted the show was in 1993 with musical guest Nirvana.

Hopefully SNL will have better hosts throughout the year.

Will U be tuning in???

      SNL is the worst it's been in years right now.
      Charles Barkley hosting is really all the proof you need of that.

      The show is horrible and needs to be completely recast or simply canceled.

      The skits are always too long and seem to just struggle.

      you guys obviously dont watch sports, Charles Barkley is hilarious on tv especially when he gives his views. Do some research he gets paid a grip to be news anchor of TNT and other sports shows cause he's really funny

      I can usually watch SNL in about 15 minutes.

      The episode he hosted back in '93 was a RIOT! He did it all! He beat up Barney playing basketball, dressed in drag as one of the "Gap Girls" and and was even in one of the "Stuart Smalley" skits. It was damn funny and I can't wait to see it. Those that are saying that the season is a bust because he is hosting, have no CLUE! You probably werent even born the last time Chuck hosted. If you're that pissed he is hosting, then here is a suggestion - don't watch. No worries. Im sure theyll get some lame-ass, no talent retard you call the next "IT" dude to host. :)
