Balloon Boy's Parents Need To Pay Up!

Richard and Mayumi Heene, parents of the infamous Balloon Boy, have been fined $42,000. The funds will go to the agencies who were part of the rescue attempts when it was believed that their son Falcon Heene was in their homemade aircraft, but it all turned out to be a massive hoax!

The money will reimburse the police, national guard and Federal Aviation Administration.

The Heenes' lawyer has said they won't be paying anything until they see receipts for the costs of the rescue team.

We think they should just pay the money and shut up!

Their punishment could have been a whole lot worse!

Go to noemi.ro to see my take on the nonsense perez spewed about Brittany murphy BEFORE she died. Did perez cause her low self esteem?

      Good. Make them pay.
Make them attend intensive parenting training.

    8. 8

And how are they going to come up with 42,000 dollars?

Pay the fucking bill and be happy you did not get worse.
I also hope child protective services is still all up in their fact about these children and how they are being raised.

    10. 10

Who in their right mind is leaving those kids with these two idiots. They should be taken away from that home and given to people who could better guide them.

It's ridiculous they have to pay any money. Reimburse the police? For what? Doing their job? Regardless of the situation being false, the police department do NOT need to be reimbursed. Just wait until the day comes when a domestic disturbance requires the person who called to pay money back.

      Have fun.

Speaking of the Heene's, some friends and I were looking at Christmas lights last night and drove by their house to see if they have any Christmas spirit. Not shocking, but they don't. The family van did leave the house while we we driving up . . . so like creepy paparazzi we followed the mom and Falcon. They were just going to Blockbuster.

pay up and shut up? they are broke, they were doing it for money. Yes, they should be punished, but YOU are a moron along with them. they do not have it. Most people do not have it. YOU are so far removed from the average person that you actually think most people have that type of money sitting around? If they did, they wouldn't have done this crap

    14. 14

These losers don't have any money in the first place, nor does the crazy ass father want to work for it. That why he hatched this hairbrained sceme. Gotta wonder what the whack job mother was thinking going along with that load of crap. They are damn lucky the gov didn't take the kids away. Wanna see bills, watch CNN footage genuis.

    15. 15

Poor kids creepy parents. Put the parents in the ballon on pay per view see if they die and all is even. I'll watch!

    16. 16

      LOL 42K FOR WANTING ATTN

    17. 17

damn iguess this would be the best time to have their own reality show so they can pay up..

    18. 18

Re: Lucy1987 – hahah that's funny you followed them. but yeah god these people are dumb asses.

    19. 19

The ones that really need to be reimbursed are those poor farmers who fields got torn up during the rescue attempt. And, I agree that the parents need some jail time and the kids need to taken into protective custody and fostered by people who can help turn them around… this is a lose, lose situation all around… uuuggghhhh…..

    20. 20

They should be grateful that they were not thrown in jail and/or fined even more.

      Are you a complete moron?
How do you compare a false report to a legitimate call?

Re: Lucy1987 – hahaaha i could see my friends doing the same thing..were you atleast high haha

    23. 23

Stupid, creepy, fame-whores. They should be sent to jail, charged more for the cost of the rescue op, and the kids taken away by social services.

    24. 24

As contemptible as these parents are, it make good financial and legal sense not to pay until receipts are presented. This is standard in the business world. The only exception would be if they have been found guilty in a court of law and the $42K is a fine imposed by the court. No receipts would be needed then. - Naive London Girl

    25. 25

They're complete tools whose kids should be taken away from them. They deserve worse.

    26. 26

Re: hateliars – Hey, what happens if someone can't pay a fine? I mean, you're right, most people don't have $42,000 extra. Will they have to make small payments, like a monthly plan, or could the authorities maybe seize their house? Wow, the Heenes messed up big time!

    27. 27

Colorado really needs to limit the amount of out-of-state idiots they're allowing in.

    28. 28

      fuckin douchebag family fuck them

    29. 29

Re: iowaiscold – they purposely called the police when they knew their son was safe all along. they should pay.
      .
      .
everyone was wondering/worrying about that kid and he was safe all along.

Re: iowaiscold – Your idiotic statements reads:

"It's ridiculous they have to pay any money. Reimburse the police? For what? Doing their job? Regardless of the situation being false, the police department do NOT need to be reimbursed. Just wait until the day comes when a domestic disturbance requires the person who called to pay money back."

Are you really that stupid? The point is they made a FALSE report. They wasted everyone's time. And guess what? TIME IS MONEY. If someone calls for a domestic disturbance then that indictaes there is a problem. Calling the police and telling them that your child is hoverring throughout the Colorado winds up to 30,000 feet is a serious report. There were many people involved in this because it was something serious that involved the possible death of a child. Also, keep in mind that we as tax payers are paying these police officers. So if YOU work and don't mind paying the officers your hard earned cash to chase an empty balloon for hours instead of protecting your streets then you are an utter moron.

    31. 31

why should anyone pay the emergency crews to come save you? Isnt that their job?? Isnt that what they get paid to show up for everyday?
