Beyonce's Parents Confirm Divorce
It's true!
Beyonce's parents Mathew and Tina Knowles have confirmed that they are getting a divorce after Tina filed papers in Texas to end the couple's 29-year-marriage.
However they have issued a joint statement citing the divorce as "amicable:"
"The decision to end our marriage is an amicable one. We remain friends, parents, and business partners. If anyone is expecting an ugly messy fight, they will be sadly disappointed. We ask for your respect of our privacy as we handle this matter."
Some have suspected the divorce is the results of a paternity lawsuit against Mathew. The baby is due is spring 2010.
We hope for Beyonce and sister Solange's sake that the divorce IS amicable, but we're not sure how likely that is after 29 years!

No surprise. They should have been divorced a loooooooong time ago. They haven't even lived together for over a decade. All of their focus is on Beyonce and her career anyway. The split will be amicable.
