Brittany Murphy's Will Does Not Include Hubby

Brittany Murphy did in fact have a will when she died this past Sunday.

Kinda eerie! But at the same time, we're sure most celebs have something prepared once they've found fame.

The will, which was written before she met her husband Simon Monjack, left her estate to her mom Sharon Murphy.

As for the house Brittany owned, it was held in a trust that was also created before she met Simon and he is not listed on the title.

Whether or not the actress drafted a will after her marriage is unknown.

I'm not famous and I have a will, as does my husband. It's common sense to have one. Don't you have one Mario? If not, get on it, someday you're gonna piss off the wrong person and you're mum'll be left w/nothing.

Most states have a law that the spouse is entitled to a certain percentage of the assets if there is no will.

    3. 3

Not eerie. Every adult should have a will.

    4. 4

Jeeze… your stupidity knows no bounds. Kinda eerie that she had a will?!?!?! Any half way smart person with any sort of assets (doesn't matter the value) should have a will. You don't have a will, Perez?? The stupidest thing is to die intestate. Way to make a mess & a stressful situation even more stressful for your family.

mario - there is nothing creepy, eerie or weird about someone (esp. one in h-wood), having a will - it's called responsibility, something you know absolutely nothing about……..

"we're sure most celebs have something prepared once they've found fame" - if one is a celeb they've obviously "found fame"……fucken idiot…….

What's eerie about having a will. Most responsible people do.

So you link T_M_Z but you dont credit them? Then label the photo as your own when it is from WENN.

      You are a dope.

You have now cofirmed that this site is nothing but an aggrigator site, there is no more original content (unless its about GaGa). Can you please provide me a list of other sites you cut and paste from so I dont have to come here anymore?

Actually I like coming here for now to see that everyone has the hatred towards you. That will last 6 months and then everyone will just leave.

    8. 8

…didn't take long to chat about the cash!

    9. 9

Hmmm. A grown-up should have a will. It's not so eerie. No one should be naive about this. Surely you, Perez, have assets now that you've earned money from your site, books, appearances, etc. You're around Brittney Murphy's age, too. Young, but old enough to take care of business properly. I'm glad she looked after her mother.

    10. 10

Why would creating a will be errie just because she just died? Your so stupid Perez. Having a will isn't eerie….its a necessity when you have anything of value or have a lot of money or if you have children and whatnot. Are you always this stupid or is it just today?

    11. 11

Wow! Thanks for being a day late on this news. Also, did it take you long to copy another gossip site word for word?

    12. 12

      Finally- a star with brains!

    13. 13

She was talking about having kids next year and she was pretty young so I quess she was waiting until things changed in her life to change her will. Poor thing. It does make me a little less suspicious of her husband though, but just a little.

    14. 14

I see that alot of the "news" (I use that term loosely) articles are being altered after they are intially posted and some, deleted completely!

Most REAL news services check facts BEFORE reporting. Isn't it lucky for you that you aren't a REAL news service?

    15. 15

But, I have to say, nice touch on finally removing the "drugs" tag.

    16. 16

I think the house should go to her mom,she gave birth to her..rest in peace sweetie.

    17. 17

smart choice, obviously her hubby was an enabler, plus hes a real uggo

hope this is true and there is no other will. That jackass needs to fuck off and go back wherever he came from.

Re: Spindoc – But there was a will..

    20. 20

Anyone who owns anything should have a will. It is stupid not to, unless you want the state involved in giving your things to loved (or not so loved) ones.

    21. 21

what is eerie about having a will in your 30s? any responsible person would, especially if you have any possessions or money to speak off! it's just common sense. what Mario, you don't have one?

i don't own a lot of possessions but i have a rather large retirement fund and life insurance policy so of course I'm going to have a will to go along with those disbursements. i don't want my stuff and money getting randomly split up after i croak.

    22. 22

Re: Beaverhausen – no shit Beaver! my sister died last year at age 36 from a car accident and she didnt' have a will. it's been 18 months and my family is still sorting through the mess that was left behind. AND she hadn't updated her insurance policies since her last divorce so her douchebag ex-husband got a lot of shit and money i know she didn't want him to have.

Perez is just the sort of arrogan d-bag to not have a will b/c he thinks he is god.

Not only are wills necessary in life but also need to updated with life changes.
I, however, have taken another route, and have placed valuation on some things in post-its inside or on the back of objects of art with some falsely inflated prices and some valued at much less than they are worth.
I personally can't wait to look up from the hot location I am to be confined to for eternity and look at them fighting over my property.

    24. 24

GLAD TO SEE IT! HOWEVER, everyone is responsible for their own actions! If she died of a drug overdose, SHE did it. Period. I'm sick to death of people blaming everything on everyone else!

    25. 25

EVERYONE NEEDS A WILL. GET ONE, for the sake of your loved ones.

    26. 26

Does it even matter if he's not in the will? He's her legal husband, most likely he'll get a lot of money. So sad, he looks like a slime ball.

    27. 27

      rest in peace

    28. 28

Spindoc, you took the words right out of my mouth. I'm an estate planning attorney in Massachusetts [no joke], I was wondering what state she's legally a resident of. In Massachusetts, the "widow's allowance" is 1/3 - but the laws of testacy/intestacy go by state. I always have to tell my clients, who won't divorce b/c they're catholic or whatever, or who want to have their wife disinherited & leave it all to the mistress, "sorry, you gotta leave her 1/3, bc she'll get it anyway."

    29. 29

Poor husband, he spent SO much time weezling his way into Brittany's life and drugging her and now he gets nothing?..

    30. 30

Re: Gambitgirl – So sorry to hear about your loss. That is a perfect example why everyone should have a will or designate a benefactor on an insurance policy. Regardless, I have to say I am actually shocked and disgusted at her passing and Perez really needs to tone it down abit. He is provoking all with his stupid comments to get the hits on this site as we all go off at him for one reason or another. He probably isn't even posting this crap himself any longer. Finally, JUST MARRIED (yes I know it was corny) is one of my alltime favorite girly movies. This is just so sad!

    31. 31

Why is it eerie…it's the responsible thing to do…oh, that's right. You don't know a thing about taking repsonsibility. Better learn about it moron…otherwise, when someone wacks you (and they will), your mamma gonna be out in the cold.

    32. 32

      =( sad but r.i.p brittany

"Kinda eerie"? Are you kidding? Anyone with significant assets should have a will. If this is Perez's way of saying he doesn't have a will… wow. Just wow. How stupid can you be about your assets? Wow.. Its the same level of stupid as putting all your money in a shoebox.

I'm 29 and in perfect health, and I have will.

    34. 34

Gah, this site is so retarded. Why do I bother. Eerie to have a will? What fucktard thought that brilliant line up. Yea, really spooky to have a will as a grown adult who makes a lot of money.

    35. 35

If you marry or divorce someone and already have a will that the will then becomes invalid.

    36. 36

WHO FUCKN CARES IF SH HAD A WILL OR NOT.. ITS NONE OF OUR FUCKEN BUSINESSS. MAN THIS WORLD MAKES ME SICK AND SO DO YOU MARIO
