Pete Doherty Charged With Heroin Possession

Pete Doherty was arrested yesterday and it has now been revealed that he is being charged with heroin possession.
The Babyshambles member was arrested quickly after appearing in court for OTHER charges and he'll be back in court this coming January for the new ones.
Furthermore, Doperty could also be facing charges for an alleged hit-and-run that left a pedestrian in critical condition. The car in question is a Jaguar believed to be owned by Pete.
At court yesterday Pete was fined £2,050 and banned from driving for 18 months after a guilty plea for drunk driving back in July after a concert.
What are we going to do with you, Pete?

I think that Pete and Wino would make one fantastic couple, don't you agree? They are both complete messes… than Blaaakkkkeeeee can mess up someone elses life.

Knowiing the British courts and how they treat celebs they'll give him 15 minutes in the corner, then 3 weeks of having a good talking to by Emma Thompson, then they'll let him out for good behavior if he has at least 10% of his drug tests come up with positives for less than 3 types of drugs at a time.

He really should be locked up.. I'm from the UK and I'd never heard of him until he got arrested/ had been in trouble.. I don't understand the justification of keeping him out of jail, and preferably banning him from making music again
The car-bike accident was certainly tragic and I hope the bike rider is healed and files a hefty civil suit, but the criminal part of that case may be what gets Pete behind bars and maybe then on some sort of path towards beating his addictions.
Over 20 drug possession charges seem to have no gotten him only one brief stint behind bars. This needs to change.

why are the british courts so light on prosecuting this detriment to society? i don't understand why he's given so many chances yet he ends up seriously hurting an innocent person. does mr. doherty even care that his actions cause serious harm to others?

I love this guy…talented but self destructive. Rumour/gossip also has it that he murdered a man at a party a few years ago. Perhaps one huge reason he elects to 'medicate' himself…..

Pete is the most amazing lyrist, singer and poet. Don't judge, the only reason you don't like him is because all you know him for is the mean things that perez says about him. Peter forever!
