Snoop Helps LA Youth

Los Angeles' Crenshaw High School football team is undefeated this year and who are they thanking?

Snoop Dogg!

Nine of the team's current football players had the chance to go through Snoop's Youth Football League and the coaches are attributing their involvement to the high school team's success.

Coach Robert Garrett believes "It is more of an advantage to have kids who played in the Snoop Dogg league. They also have the experience, the fundamentals and the attitude that guys who started from scratch don't have."

And it's not just the coaches who are praising the rapper, so are the kids!

Senior wide receiver Geno Hall says being in Snoop's football league "keeps me out of trouble, from hanging in places I shouldn't be. It's helped me to grow mentally."

Snoop has also increased the player's self-esteem and even attends their games, armed with bodyguards of course.

The rapper turned role model started his league 5 years ago and currently has 2,500 kids enrolled.

Wow! What a great thing to do for the community!

Congrats and good luck to the high school football players!

today is Tuesday, last Saturday the Crenshaw team got their ass kick by a Northern California team. btw, Snoop usually shows up to those games high as a kite and promotes marijuana use.

you must mean "Snoop has also increased the PLAYERS' self-esteem & even attends their games" as in PLURAL POSSESSIVE.

Snoop can you please send this jackass to basic English classes too?

He's been doing this for years for those kids, he bought them a bus and all their equipment and not only is he hands-on with the coaching every day, but he payrolls the best coaches in the country for these kids. It would be so great if more celebrities would get involved with this type of time and monetary committment, it speaks volumes. Those kids LOVE him, he has basically saved their lives. Sports do alot that has nothing to do with the physical aspect of it….these kids have had their eyes opened to life thanks to Snoop.

I got to Crenshaw(freshman), and yes unfortunately we lost to MOTHER FUCKING De La Salle on Saturday!!!!!!The most IMPORTANT GAME EVER!!!!But oh well COUGAR PRIDE!!!!! btw, Perez this is old ass news >.>

This is a cute story about Snoop and I'm stoked about what he's doing for these kids. Only 2 things: 1) Snoop looked high as a kit at the game on Saturday. 2) Crenshaw hs WAS undefeated until De La Salle hs of Concord beat them last weekend fro the state championship. Crenshaw put up a decent fight though! Keep up the good work, Snoop, but lay off the ganj!!! lol.

    Go Snoop!

That's nice and all but doesn't Snoop associate himself with the Crips? How many innocent kids and adults were shot because of some dumb ass gang banger? It doesn't make sense to sing the praises of monsters who rape, steal and sell drugs and then turn around and teach kids how fun team sports can be.
