The adorable and talented Taylor Swift was crowned Entertainer of the Year by the Associated Press yesterday. The country diva has had herself quite a year and we think it is very well deserved!

      It certainly must be the end of times because this chick is AVERAGE!!!! Cute… okay. Nice… okay. Good writer… yes. But her singing is just plain average. There were people who didn't make it to Hollywood Week on Idol who sing far better. Just goes to show we don't have high standards in the US.

      I honestly think that many music lovers are sick to death of the half-naked, self-important divas that are so prevalent in pop/rock music.
      Taylor is the breath of fresh air .. too bad her voice isn't.

      I really think she deserves it. I saw her live in 2007 when she was on tour with Brad Paisley before she hit super-stardom, and she was amazing even then. Her stage presence is wonderful. I'll admit she's not the best live singer in the world, but who is? I've never seen a live singer who hits every note perfectly and sounds exactly how they do on their recorded song. But she gets into her songs and you can tell when she sings she cares about every word she's saying and involves the crowd. You can tell she really has love and gratitude for all her fans, and I think that's what makes a great entertainer.
