Britney Still Not In Control! Conservatorship Extended!
Guess it's not coming to an end after all.
Poppa Jamie Spears will still have control over daughter Britney Spears' life after a judge ruled to extend the conservatorship.
The judge didn't say how much longer Jaime will be getting his $16,000 a month paycheck for watching Brit Brit, but lawyers expect it to last anywhere from 6 to 12 months.
Also getting a nice payout from the judge was Britney's co-conservator Andrew Wallet. From July to November, the judge granted a $174,569.10 payment. The lawyers also got paid as well, receiving $300,000 for legal fees.
Dayum! That was an expensive trip to court.
Another hearing will take place after the holidays on January 14th.
Hmm. We're still confused about why the conservatorship was extended.
We thought everything was going really well for Britney. Wasn't it?

Although she successfully completed the tour, she appears far from her old self. She suffers from mental illness and that will probably never go away.
I don't think someone should be paid to take care of their child, no matter how old she is. If my daughter were having mental health issues I would take care of her for free, because I am the parent and that is my duty. What an a-hole taking her money for doing something he should do anyway for free.
Why would they end it when they can make so much money from it? Not entirely sure why her father needs $16,000 a month, surely most fathers would do it for free to be sure that their daughter was safe. This whole thing is so shady, I thought it was to get her away from the people trying to control her. She jumped right from one circus cage to the next.

It's sad, and I really don't understand it. Why is it her team felt she was fine enough to do an album and a 100 day tour, but she can't take care of herself? Because of this, if anything… they're going to make her go crazy again by being in her face every fucking day. Her dad just wanted a paycheck, her mom wants a pay check, her lawyers jumped at the chance because they knew they would be getting a big check… It's lame and sad to take advantage of a person like this, this is her life they're fucking with.

I've been saying it all along. Britney has mental illness. It's a permanent situation. She isn't going to "get well." She'll prolly need medication all her life. In time,she might be able to go without 24/7 monitoring, but she will always require supervision. You watch. You will never see her entirely alone. They will do everything they can to make everything appear OK, but it isn't. They only got her "up and running" so she could perform and EARN $$$$. Her father, her mother, her sister, K-Fed and her kids, and her sister's kids. Probably her brother, and his wife/girlfriend, her manager, her dancers, trainers, choreographers, etc. etc. etc. Britney is an industry! If she goes down everyone will go down. They are living real good right now. Britney's mind is messed up.

Britney is a grown woman and should be able to take care of herself and do what she wants. Her father sounds like an evil person. If she wants to use drugs and shave her head, let her. The meds probably keep her stable. The handlers probably keep her in the sane lane. If she's left alone she will most likely quit taking her meds and go back to bizarro land. Fortunately, on her last trip there she didn't kill herself and her youngest kid when she had the chance when she was totally off her rocker. Most mental illness is something that has to be lived with. It doesn't go away in a certain amount of time like the common cold. She may never be able to be unsupervised, and as long as she's supervised all those people still get to cash in. It's a real win-win situation isn't it? It ain't over by a longshot with this girl.

Speaking as a parent of someone who had a guardianship issue with my son……………..it's is nearly impossible to get the guardianship OFF of the child once it's been placed. The conservatee (Britney) MUST show 100% proof (medical, psychological, social, financial etc, etc) that she is well. She has a hundred hoops to jump thru before this will be over for her. It's hard to get a conservatorship on an individual, which it should be. AND it's HARD to remove one. Anyone can improve for a time, but the court wants PROOF that Britney isn't going to go off again. IF Britney continues to show that she is improving, then with time the guardianship will be overturned.
Reportedly she is going to be forced to attempt to sing, a some venue, live before the conservatorship is lifted. This one could go on for a long time folks.

I thought that it was previously reported that her father was looking to end the conservatorship. A court appointed psychiatrist evaluated her and this was the decision. Jamie Spears is allowed to earn a living. He has no other source of income because he had quit whatever job he had before. Taking care of Brittany becme his full time job. Yeah, the amount seems a bit excessive but he needs to take care of his own expenses.

The fact that she is deemed incapable of taking care of her affairs, despite being pushed on stage and making another album is very telling. Everyone is making a buck from Britney, yet nobody seems to be able to give her the help she desperately needs. Or she herself won't get the help she needs. Seems like she is mentally ill and probably won't ever recover, but she may learn how to cope with it. When she said in her doc that she didn't believe in therapy I thought that was a very bad sign. She is a very sad and tragic story. She is stuck as a teenager both professionally and personally. if she gives a good performance she makes money. If she gives a bad performance (the last couple of years) she makes money. Wouldn't that make anyone feel used? If her fans really and truly cared, they would refuse to buy her music and tickets until she is well again.

Her father needs to get paid since he left another job, moved to where she is and took this on as a full time, on call job. Whether he should get paid this much, that is up to the court-I do not know what he was getting paid before, his expenses he left behind, his expenses now and exactly what he does. No one knows why the conservatorship was extended-and if anyone says they know why, they are full of it-psychiatric records are closed to the public, rightfully, for britney, and they are none of our business.
Her handlers seem to be trying to set her up for a few years financially. She was going through her fortune at one hell of a clip, staying in hotels because she couldn't find her house, shopping, and staying fucked up 24/7. She wants a man to make decisions for her and screw her all day while telling her she's beautiful and perfect, which is how Sam Lutfi got his hooks in. Now they've got her ugly but smart manager in that role.
Britney is mentally a young child and was being preyed on by opportunists. She could have easily ended up dead. Her family is being paid but this is just how the super-rich do business. She still has assloads of money left and would have been paying someone anyway, it's the cost of being rich which most of us will never know.

I'm not suprised one bit. That girl is still 2 steps from crazy and will be for awhile. That doesn't mean she's better….only that she's is "managed". Completing 1 lame tour doesn't make the the real situation of her issues and problems go away. It only kept her busy…I am willing to bet that she will crash and burn at least 1 more time and then Perez will be back to dissing on her. Then she'll get better and he'll kiss her ass. Obivously, for such an extension to be considered, the girl is not well at all.
I think it's completely unrealistic to say that seeing her perform onstage is a sign she's okay.
What she does onstage does not reflect how she is offstage and when she's home.
Remember, that is HER JOB. So she can't fuck that up anymore.
For Brittany to do some of the things she did before her father took over, she was in pretty bad shape. I'm not expecting her to be completely alright. I really think that is entirely too soon to say.
I think the judge is right. She still needs to be looked after still. I'm not a fan of hers, but I was highly concerned for her after she broke down that way she did.
That was not a temper tantrum. That was not a phase. The girl is sick. Really, really sick. After her tour, I honestly think she needs another break and a little more time to gather herself away from the spotlight.
If she really wants to show she is competent to taking care of herself and tell daddy to leave her alone, I think that is the first step she should take.

By law there had to be a reason the judge extended this. He knows something that he did'nt feel comfortable with or he would'nt have been able to rule the way he did according to the laws. Judges have to follow the law also they just can't make it up as they go they have to show intent as well as a lawyer has to show to a judge.

I don't think Britney will ever be mentally stable. I think she needs to take a little time off because I think all the touring has worn her out. I would love to have a new album from her in 2010, but I think she should wait a while to take a mental break.
