Last week the Bank nightclub in Las Vegas hosted "GaGa Wars" where hundreds of Lady GaGa impersonators came in their best monster attire to compete for the title of best Gagaloo look-a-like and $2000.
One person that witnessed the insane amount of Gagita-ness said "They take it really seriously. People were going nuts. Especially when [Twilight star] Jackson Rathbone showed up for his birthday."
Sounds like it was a lot of fun!
Maybe next time they'll send us an invite or maybe ask us to be a judge?

Since you are oblivious as to how sites like this make money…it is based on traffic, clicks and comments. That is only based on the "newness" of the site. When a site like this has such a large volume of people coming to it, it raises its prices. Over time, the advertisers look at their CPM (cost per thousand) and when they see little return, the advertisers either leave or renegotiate. When the advertisers have renegotiated their contracts, when they want to squeeze more out of the site, they hire a temp to comb through the comments section to see iwhat kind of brand image the site has. This site has an overwhelmingly bad brand image. The blog has become extremely stale, has been sued for plagerism many times. If you are going to just copy a story from another blog, then why not just buy the ad space ON the originating blog if the prices are lower (which they are).
Finally, the sites comscore which is the measure for the industry is based on many many factors, if you had a subscription, youd see the comscore for this site plummeting.
Mario can easily turn this around if he just returns to what the site used to be, but he probably only has about 6 months to do so before advertisers leave in droves.

Increasingly, the main draw seems to be to interact with others who think the content and editorial approach on his site is despicable. Quite a few were fans, back in the day, and foolishly hope Mario will stop being such a dirt bag and return to what helped establish his presence in the first place.
