Though Kate Gosselin has already shot the pilot for the project, producers of the new show Momlogic have cut her from the show for being too "controversial".
The show, which plays out kind of like The View just with celeb moms like Paula Deen, is looking to get pitched fairly soon, so the execs had to make a decision beforehand whether or not to keep the mom of eight on staff. Ultimately, they decided against her, say insiders, because they felt she wasn't "ready for a full-time hosting job, even as part of a panel."
We don't happen to agree. Audiences love a little controversy and we think they'll have a better chance selling the show if they keep her, rather than letting her go.
Their loss! TLC's gain!
