Angie Doesn't Care Too Much For Fidelity
Not the most shocking news we've heard, considering the circumstances to which she hooked up with Brad Pitt, but it's interesting to hear her discuss it.
Angelina Jolie revealed to a German mag that she feels open relationships work just as well as traditional marriage, if not better, as there is more freedom to be, well, open to other people! She was quoted as saying:
"I doubt that fidelity is absolutely essential for a relationship. It's worse to leave your partner and talk badly about him afterwards. Neither Brad nor I have ever claimed that living together means to be chained together. We make sure that we never restrict each other."
Um, you might want to restrict each other a little bit. You have kids now, and if someone strays, the ones that will really miss out are those little ones.
Hopefully, this is some justification for past actions and not a glimpse into what the future may hold.

Sounds like an open marriage to me. When she said 'I doubt that fidelity is absolutely essential for a relationship', she neglected to add the important word, which would be 'healthy' (relationship.) I guess this would be the second choice if you weren't happy with each other monogamously, but in my opinion that would be settling; and monogamy is a choice, and it takes thought, guts and character, but mostly, the will.
Perez, to assume that couples who stay together are better at parenting is naive. Some of the greatest damage to children has been done by couples who . stay with each other out of hypocrisy

If adults continue to seek that first love high instead of transitioning to a deeper mature and respectful love that chooses to preclude others, this is what you'll get. Not all people can do it. If neither of them mind, then there's no problem; but it can eventually backfire when one starts to feel they're coming second.

Having and raising a family requires commitment not just for the benefit of the parents but for the benefit and emotional security of the children. It is not being "chained". What is she talking about? Her oldest child son is old enough to go on the internet and read what she is saying and that as an adopted child competing for attention with five other siblings he could have some insecurities of his own? Is she the most important person in their family that she only thinks of her own pleasure?
He has admitted he has finally found his soul mate. Good for you Brad. Love these two and happy to see them continue to populate our world with their lovely offspings.
