      I have my ears candled.. So if I make a video of it will perez make fun of me? and it does work. Sucks the wax right out. And yeah it might be dangerous if you're dumb enough to set yourself on fire. And plus like anything, it may not be right for everyone. But honestly it's better than the doctor doing it, that shit's gross!

      This procedure definitely doesn't work at all. I have talked to many doctors and holistic practitioners about this, after being suitably impressed the first time I had it done. The "wax" that you see at the bottom of the "candle" after the procedure is simply the melted wax-type substance that coats the candle itself. It's a hoax. Google it.

      Again, false, it is not Hopi medicine, they have asked to have their tribal name removed. If you burn a candle on its own you get the crap as you get from sticking it in your ear. The volume "removed" is greater than the volume of the cavity it is claimed to come from. The material removed is not the material that makes up your ear wax etc. And really material working it's way against gravity, that is some kinda trick, hell of a draft.

      Seriously, do people blindly accept everything they are told new age? or labeled as traditional medicine?

      But the ear wax thing. I have done it. There is a lot of literature that says you can get salmonella and other bacterial strains from the wax.
      So….this is not good.

      I would think a singer would be a little more careful with regard to ear nose and throat preservation.

THIS is more "modern" than modern medicine - this is not some years old treatment. I've made all the evidence for the morons who believe in it, INCLUDING doctor's who've had to deal with broken eardrums, internal burns and scientists who test the materials. Not to mention the official statement from the Hopi tribe that's been trying to get companies to stop using their name for YEARS. Even the companies that sell it can't produce any science or studies. It's technically BANNED in the US and Canada.

According to you, alternative therapies work because they have supposedly been around longer. Gee, which form of evidence is going to be most useful to me when I choose a therapy? If we choose the latter, then we would still be dying in outlandish numbers from small pox, polio, diabetes, bacterial infections and so on. Modern medicine has brought us preventative vaccines and treatments for illnesses that people used to die from in huge numbers in the past. Good luck to you if that isn't good enough for you.

What's especially interesting and even maybe concerning - you cannot SEE IT WORK. Whether you do it yourself or someone else does, you have absolutely no proof that the wax isn't candle wax. Except, "modern" medicine does - they tested the wax and the molecules are candle wax. But hey, you believe that ear wax just sticks in there and doesn't move out and that it holds 1/2c of ear wax, go right ahead. I'm sure the makers, who are being sued and popping under different names, and USING the Native Americans are trustworthy!
