Sources are claiming that during her record release party in NYC on Tuesday night, Mary J. Blige went off on her husband and punched him in the face! Witnesses say that Mary went off because her hubby, Kendu Isaac, was flirting with one of the waitresses. The insider recalls:
"She turned to him and was screaming, 'You're not going to ruin my night. They got up in each other's faces before someone tried to separate them, at which point she shoved the guy aside, pulled back and popped [Isaacs] in the face."
Although her rep denies the whole thing, the witnesses also claim that after the incident, Kendu was asked to leave and Mary J. left soon after, leaving an awkward tension for party goers to deal with.
Mary J., what happen to no more drama???

This was in The N Y P O S T 2 days ago. Reportedly after she punched him and drew blood she said to Kendu, "What are you gonna do Chris Brown me".
In any case this is a disappointment she should have never punched him.
Complicated situation because he is her manager and she has credited him publicly with being a big part of her getting off drugs.
If she hadn't gone to such great lengths to cultivate such a classy image over the years, the cynic in me would say, new "album" out and single languishing in the 60s on the hot 100, give the hubby a planned pop in the face and get back in the headlines.
She is talented 100%, but ghetto women with wealth never become ladies. Unless they choose to. Obviously the vile ghetto blood is still in her. She did not know how to act like a lady in public. GHETTO GHETTO GHETTO poor thing. She is 38yrs old and has not learned and never will.

Mary has been fighting many demons since her pre-school days with everything from sexual molestation to the witnessing of domestic abuse against her mother to then be abused by her ex KC from Jodeci to substance/alcohol abuse to numb the pain and was doing quite well as a recovering alcoholic. She was at HER release party and obviously allowed his disrespectful actions to get to her so much that she ended up irresponsibly getting intoxicated and lashed out. I bet she woke up the next day feeling like crap for causing a scene and getting physical w/ her husband. They were both wrong.

I initially laughed because she's been through so much and isn't going to put up with bullshit AT ALL and she shouldn't have to. Then, I felt soooo sad because she hasn't quite put this demon down.
