The Reverend Fred Phelps of Westboro Baptist Church in Kansas is organizing a protest against Lady Gaga as he declares that God "hates" our Gagaloo.
He has released a statement, riddled with malice and bigotry, calling Lady Gaga a "whore" and a "slut… seducing a generation of rebels into joining her in fist-raised, stiff-necked, hard-hearted rebellion."
His statement, which you can read in full by clicking HERE, is asking his followers to join him in protest and picket Lady Gaga's concert in St. Louis on January 7th.
We can't imagine anyone hating our wifey, including God, because despite what the Reverend thinks, we know her to be a wonderful person.
So, Reverend, no one knows who's going to hell, but we hope you enjoy the trip!

This is just great! I live in St. Louis and I am going to see this concert. Nothing like an idiot on a religious power run to ruin my buzz! Thank you midwest for not only attempting to ruin the St. Louis Pride Parade but also attempting to ruin Gaga concert! Isn't there some kind of law from preventing people from doing this type of crap????

God doesn't "hate" anybody. If you actually read your bible instead of becoming consumed by legalistic bullshit you would see that it says, "Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love." 1 John 4:8
If you have yet to learn this lesson, and can actually speak on God's behalf about someone like Lady GaGa as you did, then I am more concerned about the kids, teens, whomever, who attend your church every Sunday.
You are an embarassment to the Christian community, and I cannot even extend any form of grace towards you (accepting idiotic Christians who have diarrhea of the mouth is an area I am working on), because you have read and studied what you believe to be true, and yet are not applying it practically to your own life, with such an ignorant statement. If God is love then you are to love everyone, accordingly. The hypocrisy in your statement so resonates.

Fred Phelps' "followers" are mostly his extended (and very probably seriously abused) family and the latest handful of whackjob hardass Christians who haven't yet gotten wise to the fact that he's mad as a bag of hammers.
Not that I'm suggesting he shouldn't be taken seriously. Crazy people are dangerous, and while I doubt Fred is a danger to anyone except the small children sometimes left in his care, those marginals who still believe his crap are an unknown quantity.

Instead of allowing for his unconditional love to envelop them and be reflected in their life, they point fingers, judge others, and are focused on what others do wrong. Faith is meant to be personal, and unique to each person. If only everyone saw it this way, we would not have so much conflict in the name of God, whichever god that might be.

These people came to my highschool (Hazelwood Central) a few months ago to protest black people, gay people, and jewish people. They had little kids with signs and stuff with cuss words on them. They are crazy and im just saying, it's rough in the city in stl, they better hope they dont get shot!
