The guy can't catch a break!
Red Curb Investments is suing Nicolas Cage for fraud!
The company loaned Nic $3.5 million in July 2007 for a real estate transaction and the actor promised to pay $29,166.67 per month which included 10 percent interest. Apparently, that isn't how it went down because Cage owes Red Curb over $1.8 million!
Furthermore, they are alleging that Nic committed fraud for not disclosing that he was in debt with the IRS, so they want an extra $15 million!
Cage's lawyer says that "Any claim that our client engaged in any fraudulent conduct is ridiculous."
Maybe so, but he's been engaging in ridiculous behavior! Weren't you buying another castle, Nic?

Bah. I love Nic and his work. He's going to feel so much better when this stuff has been picked through. I hope he took Depp up on his fine offer to help straighten it all out. It'll just be a hard lesson learned. The Stones had this type of thing happen to them in the late 60's, (shady money handling that left them in a financial pickle) and then Mick took responsibility for their own and took over, and they've never looked back.
