La Loca was reportedly spotted shopping at New York's high-end discount retail store, Century 21 (nice try!), and her Mother of the Year, Dina Lohan says that Linds has come back a "changed woman" after traveling to India with the BBC for a doc on human trafficking.
"Lindsay definitely wants to give more back," Dina rambled. "We are now planning a trip to help the children of Guatemala."
Oh really now?
Dina says the trip will be filmed by "Oprah's network."
Hmmmm.
Why doesn't La Loca give a shot at helping out without making sure the entire world knows about it first????

More about repairing her ruined image than actually helping people. What she should do is anonymously cut a big check. Then start living a more productive life.

She has probably gotten a new PR and image consultant which has told her it improves the image to do some charity works.
it's charity. it doesn't matter who benefits from exposure, but her image will help bring exposure to the cause as opposed to it going under the radar. the only person benefitting from undeserved exposure is you, considering you have the easiest job in the world and you don't even write your own blogs.

I think its kinda fake when celebs go help out the homeless, or anyone needy when there are cameras there to capture it. Its great that their helping people but it seems to just be a photo op, and stop hating on lindsay atleast she actually is doing something with her life instead of smelling behind lady caca all the fucking time.

Desperate attempt to revitalize a career. She is using charity as a way to rehabilitate her screwed-up image, but people aren't buying it. Her "charity work" comes off as being superficial and phony. And note she had her "charitable work" filmed with her as The Star.
A real person doing charity does not need to call the paparazzi and media. Good deeds are performed from the heart, and not for the purpose of revitalizing a nonexistent acting career. The fact that Lindsay and her mother have to announce she's a "changed woman" means that she hasn't changed at all–just another desperate attempt for attention.
Everyones a hater. Leave her alone already.
How would she be able to keep people from knowing about it when everyone is up in her business all the time?
