Kanye West helped out at the Los Angeles Mission the day after Christmas by assisting the volunteers and serving lunch to the homeless — he even sported an apron!
"It's just important [to give back] when you're very blessed," said Kanye, who was there with his girlfriend Amber Rose.
Adding, "[It's nice] to spread your blessings and take time out, especially during theholidays to appreciate people who never get that appreciation. It makes me feel really good to come out here, [with] my family, and I just thank y'all [the Los Angeles Mission] for allowing us to be a part of this."

I have always believed that part of the behaviour that we have seen from Kanye in the last year was due to the accidental death of his mother. He never really had time to grieve as he was in the middle of a huge tour and I"m sure 1,000 other things that are going on within the Kanye machine.
It does not excuse his behaviour, it just might explain it.
