The Tyra Show Is No More!
Say it isn't so!
Tyra Banks has announced that the current and 5th season of The Tyra Show will be its last!
The former supermodel says, "This will be the last season of The Tyra Show. I've been loving having fun, coming into your living rooms, bedrooms, hair salons for the past 5 years."
Instead, TyTy will be focusing on her production company, Bankable Studios, that is currently looking over several potential projects to bring "positive images of women to the big screen."
Tyra has been encouraged by filmmaker Tyler Perry and of course Oprah Winfrey to "redefine beauty for women in film," says a source. "With Oprah's big announcement this year, I think that gave Tyra the confidence to get out there and follow her longtime dream of film producing."
We don't think TyTy has ever been lacking in the confidence department!
America's Next Top Model and True Beauty will still carry on even though The Tyra Show is ending. Tyra writes to her fans on her website:
“There’s a lot cooking right now and a lot of fire burning in my heart. And I salute you my amazing family of viewers; without you there never would have been a Tyra Show. I really love you all.”
We're smizing for her, but where are we going to get our daily fix of crazy now?!

Re: Chelsea – actually, a lot of the models are working - just because they aren't world renowned doesn't mean they don't go anywhere - many of them also travel around the world in order to model…….more than I can say for many, including myself……….who are you and where have you been??

She rarely has guests on that are worth the time it takes for Tyra to pull that wig on in the morning and when she does, it's all about her. But, yeah. She's totally like Oprah. Please. You would think after all the interviews that she's done, she try and learn how to give them properly. But no. It's like her guide into interviewing was her special blend of All About Tyra and Jay Leno. Ugh.

Honestly, I work in the fashion industry in NYC and go to a ton of fashion shows each season. It is well known that 90% of ALL fashions models are Lesbians. Another "fact" is that during the fashion shows, the models eat tissues and chase them down with the champagne that is served, just so they stay full and of course, thin!
Why The Wendy Williams Show of course! Now, Wendy isn't as crazy as Tyra but her show is a hot mess if I ever saw one! And I loooove it!!
hmmmm….I don't think it is just coincidence that Oprah and Tyra's shows will be ending at the same time…I have been watching and listening to see what female talk show host would make a move after Oprah's announcement…I think Ms.TyTy will be offered the Oprah timeslot, and a revamped new show…It makes sense…Tyra is like a younger version of Oprah…just my opinion
hmm rethinking my first comment…I work during the day usually so I never watch her show…I was just going on other stuff I had always read and thought she was very popular..i have seen a couple of the shows…guess we shall all see soon enough

no offense but it was ABOUT time! the first seasons of her show were amazing and super FUN, (it was my fav show) but lately, that show suuucks! its like a bad combination! the set, and the absolute boring and REPETITIVE topics everyyyday.
What? Tyra has lost an outlet of of her narcissistic, self love fest? I'm sure that she will incorporate mostly footage and photos of herself in her new project.
