Although her friends claim that she's not drinking in excess or taking drugs, we find that pretty hard to believe!
Amy Winehouse was treated by a doctor over the holiday weekend after collapsing in her home. Supposedly, she was suffering from a chest infection prior to her arrest and has now been diagnosed as having nervous exhaustion.
For having a chest infection, she could sure throw a punch!
A pal reveals:
"She's been told to keep a low profile and fully recuperate. She has been feeling very ill of late and had a funny turn at home. She is quite unwell and exhausted after recent events but is soldiering on. She's doing her best to concentrate on her music and not become embroiled in drugs again. Her new songs are amazing but will be on the back burner until she feels better."
Riiiight. Adding:
"The last week has been a massive setback for Amy who was really turning a corner. Everyone in her camp is shocked by what has happened. But their main concern is making sure she feels better. Then she can throw herself into her music. The new year isn't getting off to the best start but Amy is determined and she'll keep looking forward."
We're sure she'll throw herself back into the abyss her music!

But if a person has chosen death over life, there's no way to stop them unless she herself makes the decision to clean up her act and join the living. Amy, you don't have to keep on with the Strung-Out Tortured Artist Act in order to produce great music. GIVE IT UP OR YOU WILL DIE. Any sympathy people once had for you has turned into apathy and annoyance, especially with the numerous OD's and especially when they found out you went back to your USER LOSER boyfriend. So when you finally do succeed in killing yourself, know what most people will say? "Oh. Finally. Whatever."
If you want that kind of epitaph, keep it up. You'll be depriving the world of great music you could be creating, but hey, I guess drinking and drugging and hanging out with your Enabler is such a better alternative.

'Nervous' exhaustion? Makes sense. Even she knows subconsciously that her ex is no good for her in the long run, imho. No disrespect, but if he were, she's be healthy, radiant, working, and not collapsing.
