R.I.P.
Jimmy “The Rev” Sullivan, the 28-year-old drummer for Avenged Sevenfold, was found unresponsive in his Huntington Beach home on Monday.
“It appeared to be natural causes,” said the authories. “It's a coroner's case.”
An autopsy is currently pending to discover the cause of his sudden death.
As for Avenged Sevenfold, they issued the following statement on their website:
“It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we tell you of the passing today of Jimmy `The Rev' Sullivan. Jimmy was not only one of the world's best drummers, but more importantly he was our best friend and brother. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Jimmy's family and we hope you will respect their privacy during this difficult time.”
Sullivan is survived by his wife, Leana MacFadden. In response to his tragic passing, the band's Facebook page received almost 5,000 condolence comments.
He will be greatly missed.

This is truely heartbreaking. The world lost the most talented drummer in the universe. Jimmy was truely gifted and an amazing person. I give my love and thoughts to his family and the rest of Avenged Sevenfold and all of the A7X fans who I know feel just as empty as I do right now.

This is sooo sad. I mean his birthday is February 10th too. He was going to be 29 soon and the guys were recording for a new album too. This is a horrible loss for the Rock community, drumming community and all the fans. Everyone loved him to death.
This was probably the worst news to ever wake up to. He was a phenomenal guitarist and I've been in love with the band for eight years. Horrible way to end was has been a really shitty year. RIP Jimmy.

I can't believe this. What is up with this year? I gotta say Billy Mays and The Rev never deserved to go so young. The Rev more so than Mays as he was only 28. I still can't believe he died, I'm so happy I got the honor of seeing the man perform live twice, and he's by far one of the greatest drummers I've ever witnessed. Aside from old school Jazz drummers no one could match him.

I met Jimmy a few times. Great guy, he had a fun sense of humour and was very down to Earth. I also met his wife, when they were engaged and she was lovely, too. Very sad.

Oh no, oh no, oh no. I love A7X. This is so sad. He was so funny, such a great drummer, seemed like a nice guy. He wrote all of their goods songs. OH THIS IS SO SAD. My condolences to his family, and also to the band, especially Synyster Gates who I love.
