The Jeff Dunham Show Is Over!

Despite its initial popularity, Comedy Central's The Jeff Dunham Show will not be coming back for a second season.
The show's debut brought in 5.3 million viewers, but the reviews were dismal and ratings continued to dwindle.
Spokesman for the network, Steve Albani, says that Comedy Central will continue "to be in business with Jeff in a big way," as they signed a mulit-platform deal with him in March including a live tour, standup special and DVDs.
Good riddance.

well I love him but the show sucked, nobody wants to see the puppets running around doing stupid stuff we want to see Jeff controlling them with his amazing talent. stupid skits just didnt' work
i liked his show. thought it was really funny and pushed the humor where some comics are afraid to.
I never got to see it because i didn't buy comedy central on verizon fios

I watched it a couple nights ago and it was fall down funny. Pervez is not the person to be telling anyone what is funny since he is a slob who makes his mother clean up after him at age 30!

Seems like PH and Jeff may have something in common. Jeff works with puppets and PH on the rare occasion he has a date often asks the boy if he will be his puppet-master. It only requires one fist as they say.

I only saw his older stand-up special and I thought it was unbelievably unfunny. I'm not surprised the whole puppet thing didn't last more than a season.
He meant Good Riddance to the SHOW you dummies. The show was terrible, Dunham is much better as a stand-up comedian! Sometimes comedians and TV/movies just don't mix. Prime example: Dane Cook. Love them both, but don't deserve movie or television deals.

Then I watched it 2 weeks in a row and UGH! Horrible!
I'll be happy to buy his dvds and watch his stand-up,but it doesn't surprise me that the show tanked.
Some of it was really good and some of it wasn't so good. Seemed to have a completely different writing team than for the rest of his shows, perhaps to appeal to the wider TV audience but the good stuff kind of got lost. I am disappointed they are cancelling it, however, as I still want to watch it.

The absolute worst show I've ever had the misfortune of watching on television ever. Worse than "Secret Girlfriend". Worse than "Tyler Perry's Insert Shitty African American Centric Humor Here the Sitcom". Worse than anything you could ever imagine. It's horrible. I was dumbfounded as to how it got such high ratings, but at least people finally came to their senses and dropped this piece of shit show.
Good riddance? Why? Jeff Dunham is an incredibly funny, talented guy. Ok maybe the show didn't work but those puppet characters of his are hilarious. Esp Walter. For God's sake he has them talk to each other at the same time in different accents. That's alone is pretty darn amazing. Good luck Jeff.

Find a piece of ass somewhere or go out with friends and talk about comedians you enjoy watching… So you can write something positive about them on this fucked up website. Jeff is awesome and he is hilarious but I agree that the show completely SUCKED! As many others said, I want to see him doing his stand-up bit with the guys and not in these stupid and awkward scenes they put together for the show.

Well kind of a bummer but kind of not. I absolutley adore Jeff Dunham (he performed at the Lance Burton Theatre in LV every year while Lance was on vacay. I used to work in the ticketing dept) but his show wasn't as funny as his standup is. Although he has some new material…..I was never laughing as much at the show. Jeff will still make the rounds though..Peanut cannot die! Lol!

Yeah Perez, I guess good riddance to all those people who worked on the show who just lost their jobs too. Brilliant… I guess since he's not gay or a complete freakshow there's no way Perez was going to say a positive word either. Go figure.
Also, for all of you spouting off about Jeff's show/stand up routine only being for "white trash" I guess there must be a whole lot of it out there as Jeff Dunham's tour was one of the highest grossing of 2009.
