Popular Actress Involved In Bizarre Carjacking
Carly Pope, actress of the TV series Popular, is currently being treated in a Vancouver hospital after her brother's car was hijacked.
While the actress and her brother Kris were stopped in their BMW, a man jumped on the hood of the car. Her brother got out of the car, but the stranger decided to jump in the driver's seat and go for a joyride. In reverse!
Witness Kevin Bow was watching this all go down from his hotel balcony and said a good samaritan tried to pull the carjacker out, but he "hammered it in reverse, the two guys kind of fell out and went flying across the intersection."
Yikes!
Once in reverse, the car ended up hitting three cars before crashing into a glass window all while Carly was in the backseat!
Scary!
Luckily the douche was arrested at the scene and taken to the hospital to treat his head injuries.
Hopefully Carly's injuries aren't too serious and she recovers quickly!

I love "Popular", Im glad Carley is ok. I wish she'd come out in more things. "Popular" was such an underated show.

thats because their bmw wad crossed the line where the car was supposed to stop so pedestrians couldn't walk where they were supposed to.
maybe if her brother knew how to drive a car.. they wouldn't of had this problem.

..I live in Vancouver and this is being blown out of proportion… she'll be fine….the guy was just some nut.
Carly suffered a broken rib and two cracked vertebrae. The guy who carjacked the siblings was charged with kidnapping, aggravated assault, and assault with a weapon. Sounds like buddy has a few screws loose if this was about blocking a cross walk.

i live in vancouver. no one here mentioned there was an actress in the car. gasp. thats cuz we generally don't give a shit. about anything. and yeah, if the car was blocking the crosswalk, then i totally get it. idiot driver + cranky pedestrian = bmw in the cbc building.
